Richard did an excellent job - it required two trips due to some issues from a previous installation (Not his!) which he sorted out. Friendly, very prompt and got the problem resolved. Would recommend without hesitation.

Very nice person to deal with. Job was difficult to accurately price as I was dealing with un-discounted prices in the catalogue he gave me. Re time keeping, he had to delay his start date and through no fault of his own he couldn't work on Thursday and Friday of the first week thus delaying completion. I can't give a score of 10 for his quality of workmanship as his finish was a little disappointing but his plumbing ability was excellent.

The plumber replaced the pump but still the mixer tap did not supply much hot water. He came back and said there was paper in the pipe. He then came back a third time to investigate again. After this I had a leak and water poured through the ceiling. I believe this was because of the “push pipes” that he used and the fact that I probably didn’t need a new pump. I have lost faith in this trader and would prefer him not to return.

When diagnosing this problem it was apparent that the shower pump needed replacing,as the internal pump mechanism had broken and was in several pieces. I also removed paper from the filter at the shower mixer, paper which had passed through the pump due to no filters fitted to the pump when it was initially installed. I did revisit the property 3 times thereafter to remove further paper in the system, this time trapped by the pump filters. I was unaware of the leak through the ceiling until Checkatrade informed me, and found that the customer did not want me to return to investigate. I sympathise with the issues she has had but can assure her that a new pump was necessary.
