Extensive interior and exterior maintenance on 1880s terraced house
Work was done over a period of about three and a half months, first outside and then inside the house. It was divided into several distinct sections with short breaks in between. Because the house is old, jobs often turned out to be more complicated after they had been started, but the builders coped efficiently with this, made constructive and thoughtful suggestions about how to tackle problems, and always kept us completely informed about what they were doing, why and when. Having used several different firms over a period of twenty years in this house, I consider that A. J. Homemaker is by far the best of these and would recommend them highly and without reservations.

Kitchen and bathroom work undertaken.
I feel that the trader was unreliable, had poor communication and poor work quality. I felt that the job took much longer than planned. In my opinion the company had poor communication going 2 weeks without making contact. The builder did not supervise or check work done.

In January 2011 The previous arranged appointment with the contract manager, was cancelled. Instead the customer sent a letter informing our company that she no longer wanted us to continue with the work.
We then sent the customer a recorded letter stating that we would like to be given the opportunity to correct the items on the snagging list, and then receive final payment. Following our letter the customer agreed for the contract manager to carry out completion of the work, upon which I purchased a box of tiles (only needing 1), 6ft of architrave, and a new window board seal, I also ordered the worktop tiles. The day before carrying out the work the customer phoned me and cancelled, I asked her why she did not want me to complete the work; she did not give an explanation. I gave the customer all of the materials that I had purchased and we will not request full payment as we could not complete the snagging list.
