Tieing back a bowing wall in a Victorian house.
We are having a fairly major refurbishment done to our house with plumbers, joiners, plasterers and decorating all involved. During the work we found that an external wall had bowed to such an extent that there was a gap between the floorboards and the wall. In order to keep the project on schedule and not incur significant extra costs, we needed a builder fast. Darren was very polite on the phone and went out of his way to prioritise the work to help us minimise delay. He was punctual when he came to quote and had a good appreciation of the problem when he surveyed the wall. He could also easily understand the drawing that we provided from a structural engineer and said he would be able to work to the plans. He quoted by the end of that day, and kept in touch well between the day of the quote and the day of the work. On the appointed day they turned up on time and worked around the other sub-contractors, working quickly. The work was finished to a high standard and at the end, Darren talked me through the work performed and how it would ensure the wall did not move any more. Couldn't have asked for more.

New bathroom
We used Absolute Building Services in 2010 for a kitchen refit, and were thus expecting the same high standard on the bathroom refit we got Darren to do. We were not disappointed, the work was of a very high quality and any issues quickly resolved. Darren and Carl are very easy to communicate with and give good advice and recommendations when needed. If we need any more work doing I'd happily use Darren and his team again.

We used ABSOLUTE BUILDING SERVICES in 2008 to do our KITCHEN (Install and fit all units, cooker, sink, do tiling), and in 2010 to do the LOUNGE and DINING ROOM (Remove fireplaces and renovate ceiling). The jobs were done to a high standard with a minimum of disruption. Darren and his colleagues were efficient and professional throughout and at all times kept us abreast of progress. The work carried out September 2011 was carried out in the same quiet, efficient way to a high standard, at the agreed price.

Highly recommend Darren for attention to detail, goes that extra mile to do a good job, a perfectionist which suits me and friendly and easy to deal with. Kitchen/diner knock through and kitchen relocated and fitted
Darren was very good and patient at helping us to plan what we wanted and came round for various visits to discuss our constantly changing plans! Once work started Darren's team were very efficient. They left things tidy at the end of the day and made progress very quickly. The work was completed on time and we were pleased with the finish. He had good links to the kitchen company which made choosing and ordering really easy. We have already recommended him to friends who have work starting in the next couple of weeks.
