Good service, not an emergency and I thought very expensive but main thing is job done and trustworthy I assume.

I offered the customer to secure the door and to leave it alone until a later date, when she felt she needed to use the door more, as the cost would be high. I gave the customer a quote for the work required prior to any work being undertaken and she accepted the quote, saying it needs to be done at some point so go ahead and fix it. The old lock in this door is no longer manufactured and a replacement modification lock was required and fitted to the door. To fit this modified lock required the internal steel frame on the door to be modified, cut away, to allow the lock to fit. I carry these locks on board, as I do many others, had I not had van stock I would have had to special order the lock and the customer would have paid even more for this and for a second visit to carry out the work. I left in the knowledge that she was happy with what I had done, she was well aware from the beginning of the cost prior to any work commencing. She agreed for me to carry out the work, she accepted the quote, I fail to see were trustworthy comes in. The customer was aware of the expense prior, again I fail to see where expensive comes in. Although she has said good service, main thing job is done and I gave the customer ample advice prior to any work being carried out. I always gave free quotes and advice.

Good and polite, but did not tell me he was charging double so the bill was bad, left without saying goodbye so I could not ask to itemise the bill.

The job was carried out on Saturday 24/12/2011 Chrismas Eve. The customer gave us the ok to do the work, I am sure I did explain the cost to her and that it was double time for that day. The son, who arrived as I had finished, was also told the cost of the work was at double time as I was tidying up when I was writing out the bill he was told, I am always polite and was not aware that I did not say goodbye, I always do. The customer wrote out the payment and did not ask at the time for a breakdown of the bill, I left in the knowledge that the customer was ok with the work, I gave him the receipt and he paid the amount which was clearly marked out on the bill as double time.
