Checked alarm system and repaired fault with door sensor.

I was really impressed with the way this work was handled. We had recently moved into the house and found the alarm wouldn't set but didn't know why. Active Eye could have quoted anything they liked to fix the system but instead they replaced a door sensor and the battery (which was over a decade old). This got the system working. They then also gave me two other recommendations for potential improvements. However, they also advised me to check the impact of the changes on my house insurance because they advised that the changes weren't critical to the operation of the system and that the insurance company might not give me sufficient discount on the system to cover the cost of making those changes. I did check with the insurance company and the discount amounted to a few pounds per year. The cost of the changes would have been much more. I might still go ahead with these changes but I was really pleased that Active Eye didn't try to tell me that I had to have the upgrades.
