After having a problem with the heating identified by another contractor, and told that a repair would be upwards of £400, or a new boiler £1700, I called Andy as I wanted a second opinion. AGS had been highly recommended by a friend and had serviced the same boiler in the past and i'd been pleased with the service i'd received. Andy took a look at the boiler and was happy to explain to me what he was looking for and what he was seeing, and asked me some specific questions about what the previous contractor had done. He traced the fault to the thermostat which had been replaced by the previous contractor as being incompatible with my boiler. He popped round the corner to the plumbers merchants straight away, bought the correct one and fitted it for me there and then. You have never seen such a happy lady - saved me a fortune. I will definitely be making AGS the first call for any future problems. Thanks Andy!

Discovered water coming through the kitchen ceiling so gave these guys a call. Andy (the owner) came round the next day and replaced a leaking pipe section under the bathroom floor (£40 total). 10 minutes after he'd gone I noticed there was another pipe leaking. I gave him a call on his mobile and twenty minutes later he was back to fix it (effectively for free). Won't be going anywhere else in future!

Couldn't be happier. Guys turned up on time both days and were all pleasant to work with - including the subcontract tilers they arranged to come in. They weren't able to move the tank on the day as it turned out to be a three man lift. I got an email the next morning from their office to say three guys would be round at 3pm on the Friday, and they were (I'd already paid in full by this point so was v. Happy not to have to nag them to finish the job). Won't hesitate to use again.

Of the 6 suppliers I asked for quotes AGS paid the most attention to detail during the quotation process, checking that my existing pipework would meet the requirements for the boiler installation. They turned up promptly to install and had the new boiler up and running by the end of the first day so I didn't go without heating or hot water; amazing when you consider they completely reworked all the pipes in my airing cupboard. On day 2 they did a power flush and you would not believe how much of a difference this has made to the warmth in my house. Before it the temperature would not go above 12deg C in cold weather and now I have had to turn my thermostat down! Included in the price they fixed a leak in my hot water tank connection and only charged me cost price for the 4 radiator valves that needed replacing. I could not have been more pleased with the service - If you want your boiler replaced get AGS to do the job - you wont be disappointed!
