I started in the trade in the 1960's when things where a lot different with cars then.  I obtained the "City & Guilds" qualifications at kingston college. I have worked at a lot of different main dealers which has given me a very broad spectrum of training on different makes and models.  Then due to the turn towards computer controlled items on vehicles I decided to get into diagnostics.

I also do welding this would be mainly for the older cars as later models do not suffer quite so much. Vans and light commercials are also possible. Vehicle recovery and roadside assistance is also available and I endeavour to be available as quickly as is possible.

Changed power steering pump and fluid.

Jim changed my power steering pump and flushed through the system with new fluid. Prompt work, excellent job done, courteous and informative, a pleasure in recommending him.

Fixed a starter motor problem on my old land rover.

After my initial email contact Jim came round and checked out the problem, confirmed suspicions that it was a duff starter motor. Removed the old one to confirm correct replacement (my Land Rover is a bit of a hybrid!). Had the part and came back to replace the following day in fact he'd pretty much completed the work before I knew he was here! I'll be using him again as he's nicely local to me! Thanks Jim.

Alternator replacement.

Jim’s a lovely chap who came round and worked in sub-zero temperatures at short notice to replace my car’s alternator. He also adjusted by windscreen wipers for me at no extra charge. I would happily recommend him.

Replacement of CAM belt and water pump
