We recently had all our windows and doors replaced by Alaskan and would highly recommend them. From the initial quote to completion the experience was positive. There’s no hard sell, only knowledgeable advice and willing flexibility when we asked for changes to our quote. We had a particularly challenging bay window to replace and they accommodated this without any issue, and the end result is very good. They had to come back to resolve a couple of minor issues, which weren’t of their doing, and they were happy to do so. The fitters Tony and Gilbert were excellent and they took great care in their work to ensure the job was carried out to the customer’s satisfaction. While they worked they covered floors and furniture with dust sheets, they hardly made any damage around the windows so the making good is minimal and they left no rubbish, dust or mess. The windows and doors look fantastic……the best in the street!

Tony did the survey and then did the work. He was great. The quality of the finishing is excellent and the windows and door look like they have always been there. He cleaned up afterwards and took care of the carpets and floors. The front door is really solid and looks fantastic. Douglas who came to see us to give quote etc didn't do any old school sales pitch which was a relief but did straight talking which we like. He was very patient with us and didn't do anything without confirming with us first as we made changes to designs in decorative glass. All in all I would definitely recommend Alaskan Windows.

Alaskan Windows are a very professional outfit. Their salesman explained everything very clearly, and listened to our questions too. Their fitters were polite, tidy, efficient, friendly and competent. Before we had this job done we were sceptical about how a double glazing company could have such good reviews and marks on Checkatrade! It looked a bit too good to be true. The whole experience with Alaskan Windows was very smooth and pleasant. No sales talk, only knowledgeable, practical advice, very flexible when we asked for changes to the quote. The installation was equally pleasant. The engineer arrived 15 mins before 8 and waited in the car, not to disturb us too early, which we really appreciated that day. He got straight to work. When I got back the whole place looked spotless. There was no rubbish left behind and no dust on the floor. The work around the windows looks very tidy and well done. Outstanding service from beginning to end. At the initial site visit Douglas demonstrated window, explained quality, answered questions and provided quotation. Installation was completed efficiently, cleanly and neatly with minimum damage to the existing structure. The fitters were polite, tidy and thoughtful throughout. They asked permission to play their radios and then did so only very quietly. The windows are very high quality and look exquisite. We had one small issue which I reported to Alastair afterwards and this has been resolved perfectly. I cannot recommend Alaskan windows highly enough. A genuine family business, which is concerned to provide good service and a quality product at a very fair price.

We found Douglas very professional and polite when he came to our house to give us quotation for the work. He quoted the price we were very happy with and a date was given for the work to begin. On the day of the work two of his men Gilbert and Tony came half an hour before the set time and started their job. Both of them were very polite and did a brilliant job. Douglas came as well to see how things were going. After the job was finished they cleaned everything. We are very pleased with our windows. There is slight bit of thing to be done with the patio door which Douglas has promised to get it done as soon as possible. We have asked him for another job and would highly recommend them to anyone who want to go for Double Glazing. Thanks a lot to all three of them.

They were prompt, reliable, professional, and extremely helpful. I would have given 10/10 all round, however there was a factory fault with one of the units. To be honest with you I would have not noticed it immediately, but the workman saw it and Alistair Young came round immediately to inspect the fault; a replacement was ordered before the work was even finished. Douglas Young phoned at the end of the day to make sure I was happy with the work they had carried out. I will certainly be using Alaskan windows for the rest of my replacement windows and doors. I have no hesitation in recommending them. Excellent work.
