Company Profile

Having worked in the gas industry for over 40 years, I decided to "go it alone" in June 2007, with plumbing and gas heating services, for the few years until retirement.  How I wish I had taken this step years ago - hindsight is a wonderful thing. My wife, Valerie, set up the admin side of things, and runs that (and me) with great efficiency and enthusiasm.  I keep telling her I will be retiring in a few years but she seems not to hear.... Checkatrade brings some of the nicest customers, and ones who seem more relaxed and assured they will get a good job for their money. 

We're often asked about our strap line (The Purrfect Choice) and logo of a cat.  We are devoted cat lovers

Mending of leaking pipe, Gas boiler service and other general

After discovering a serious water pipe leak, we chose Alex via 'check a trade' and so glad we did. He was here within 10 mins and dealt with our problem that morning. We have since had him back a few times to do other jobs for us and have been delighted with his high standard of work. We would highly recommend him, and are so pleased we have found a very good local plumber for the future. Many thanks Alex and Valerie for coming to our rescue.

New Fan Hob and Oven Fitted

Alex is a good old fashioned honest tradesman, when he says he will be there he is, he goes the extra mile to ensure his work is completed to the highest standard and nothing is ever too much trouble. This is the third time we have used Alex (all for different jobs) and we are pleased with the result every time! You can't retire yet!!!!!  Thanks again.

Fitted a Magna clean

For reasons unknown, although probably down to a manufacturing fault, this installation was not problem free. All of Alex 's work was fine, but in the 2 places where the Magnaclean joined the pipe work, it leaked slightly. Alex had to return around 5 times in total to finally cure the problem. On each and every occasion, Alex was very kind, and assured us that it was no problem, and wanted to do all he could to ensure that we were fully satisfied with his work. We would thoroughly recommend him, and are very pleased with the final result. Thank you Alex

Repair of leaking central heating pipes.

While here, Alex also discovered a potential blockage, low pressure in our gas supply. This was rectified as an emergency, so potentially he prevented us from blowing up as well!
