When our boiler died, the plumber I had used once before was unable to come out for weeks. I was recommended by a friend to contact All Type Plumbing as she had recently used them to replace a boiler and had been delighted. Richard came round very quickly, explained exactly what was needed and the likely cause of the boiler failure. It was a cold few days and Richard and his team were able to come out within a couple of days and fit an excellent quality boiler. His team worked quietly and diligently and made me feel that we were in safe and trustworthy hands. The whole process from quote through to invoicing has been extremely professional and without hitch. I would recommend this company without hesitation and will definitely use their services again.

Richard and Shaun came less than 2 hours after the initial call as it was a matter of urgency. He asked a few questions over the phone in order to assess the problem and provide the quote. Problem was solved and the whole heating system tested in less than an hour. Richard even took the time to explain other related issues. Very happy with service and courtesy - would definitely recommend.

I needed a new shower/cubicle and just didn't know who to go to. I came across Richard on the internet so telephoned. I felt happy with the initial response I got from the call. On meeting Richard I felt confident he knew his trade, would be reliable and do a good job. Work started with covering the carpet on the stairs. They worked solidly with hardly a break, cleaning up as they went along which kept the dust and dirt to a minimum. The new shower was installed to a very high standard within two days the time originally quoted. Thank you Richard and Shaun.

I phoned Richard reporting the problem with the boiler, and he gave me the estimate. He started the work two hours later. He worked very efficiently and tidy, even that the boiler had to be drained.

I needed a plumber and someone to do the tiling in my bathroom and after searching around Alltype were one of the few companies who could do everything that I wanted without having to use different people.. They came, they surveyed and submitted a quote. after a few more quotes from searching around Alltype was the best submitted quote. They came on the day they said they would and started at a suitable time that suited us and left when no more could be done that day, Richard and his team were very courtesy and polite. They finished the job in a very good time frame and the quality of work was top dog and Alltype is one company that I would most defiantly use again and would most certainly recommend to others. The only thing I would say is I do not think that they were proper builders/tradesman because they did not stop many times to drink cups of tea, they just got on with the job, half the time we did not even know that they were in the house.........

Richard and his 2 guys came in and stripped my bathroom in a few hours. Carpets and laminate floors were covered to protect them and still look perfect. I cant fault All Type Plumbing at all, the quote was accurate, estimated time was spot on and there was minimum disruption to my small home. I noticed Richard working into the evening to complete parts of the project and to get it completed in time. I cannot recommend a better bathroom fitter/plumber and will pass these details to anyone looking for a new bathroom. Thanks Richard for your professionalism and my lovely new bathroom, my wife is over the moon!

Very happy with the service that we received - right from the quote everybody has been friendly and helpful. The job itself took a little longer than expected but we were charged a lower hourly rate in the end. After our water heater stopped working in our Hairdressing salon on the Friday afternoon we embarked on the task of trying to find a plumber who could respond quickly (due to clients booked in for a busy Saturday)We tried a few without any joy, but on ringing Alltype plumbing explaining our dilemma Richard casually asked if Saturday morning was going to be okay and if so he would accommodate any timing required.7.30am Richard was at our Salon with the solenoid valve and set about replacing this faulty part. As the water heater was very old it became apparent the component was not coming off easily. I became a little concerned but Richard laughed and said he wasn't to be beaten true to his word after a lot of flexing of muscle the part gave in. New component in place and a now working water heater We opened the salon on time and with hot water. Highly recommended oh and the price was very reasonable. Thanks alltype plumbing.

I was very impressed with Richard. It turned out not to be a straight forward fault, but he did sort it out and even went out to a supplier to get a new part which solved the issue. All sorted within 3 hours and now I have hot water again!

Richard and team showed up on time, completed the work as described and cleaned the house afterward. Then he came back to install the thermostat after we had finally decided where is should be placed. I was most impressed with the thoroughness of the installation and the tests performed on the system. Richard detected a gas leak in a disused part of the system, which could have had serious implications. He rectified the problem at no extra cost. A job well done and we are appreciating the new system.

Richard is way ahead of the competition in my opinion. Everything you would want from a gas and plumbing contractor: honest, highly competent, hard working, flexible, calm, courteous. No hesitation in recommending. This was a difficult and complicated installation that had to be completed following very recent full renovation of the flat. Richard, Gavin and Sean handled it without fuss, taking care not to damage any of the new fittings, keeping the place tidy, always keeping me informed of progress and being willing to answer questions. Richard worked very long hours to ensure the work was completed quickly despite the complexities.

Alltype came to inspect the work required the day that I called - putting in place a workaround that kept us with hot water - and then returned a couple of days later with all of the parts needed to fix the various problems (some of which were initially hidden - who knew how corroded elements in boilers could get with a slight leak?). A couple of days later he returned with a new water softener to replace the broken one. Fast, efficient, courteous and reasonably priced. What more can a customer ask?

I had Richard and Gavin working on our heating system and I can’t recommend Alltype highly enough. I have never felt more confident that the work being done was only and exactly what was needed, and that I would be charged the right price. They really were very honest, reliable and friendly and also happy to answer all of my questions and explain all that needed doing so that I fully understood. They even had the time to go through my system with me explaining how to best use it and have it correctly set up for our needs. When they finished the job quicker that expected, and didn’t use a part they thought they might need, my invoice was changed to reflect this making it cheaper and that was a nice surprise that I don’t think you would get with everyone. I feel very lucky that I found All type and have Richards business card on the fridge. Should we ever have plumbing/heating problems again he is definitely who we would call!

Highly Recommended - straight forward honest and friendly. Turned up on time. Had invoiced me with 2 possible scenarios - best case and worst case - and charged me the cheaper of the 2 options when it worked out that way. Cleared up what little mess was made and left everything as they found it (apart from the broken immersion heater!) Took the time to explain what to look for if anything ever went wrong before calling out a tradesman and to prevent incurring a call out charge. If only all tradesmen were like this.

We had a fancy tap with complicated fittings under the sink which had started to leak. We asked Alltype to fit a replacement which we had already bought. Alltype gave me an immediate quote over the phone and came within 2 days. The engineer came on time, did a tricky job with no fuss and stuck to the original quote. A smooth and efficient service from a thoroughly professional outfit.

These guys are amazing. Richard and Shaun came to do what should have been a simple job changing a shower tray and then found that the whole shower room had been leaking for years and there was damage and rot behind all the tiles and under the floor. We needed it done urgently and they squeezed other appointments aside for us and worked till 8pm Thurs, Fri, and Sat and until 2pm Sunday to get it finished for us before the new tenants moved in. The quality of the work is outstanding and so was their dedication, professionalism and friendliness and helpfulness. Absolutely brilliant.

Richard and his team removed our heating system and replaced it with under floor heating. It was a complex installation and they needed to reroute the heating pipe work to the manifold. They removed all the flooring cleared out the void under our floor and installed the insulation and pipe work. They installed chipboard flooring over the heating system in preparation for our new oak flooring to be installed. They did a great job cleared away all the rubbish and went the extra mile. Quality tradesmen like these guys are hard to find. If you need a plumber I would recommend you call in Alltype. Thanks guys

Our boiler has been losing pressure lately and we found out today that one of the pipes had a leak. We rang Richard and he came within 45 minutes as he said he would. Today being a Sunday, and this being an emergency, we were expecting to be charged far more than we were and were pleasantly surprised by the final bill. We have now called Richard out twice and every time he has shown exceptional professionalism, honesty and courtesy. I totally recommend him.

I'm very happy with the job Richard and Shaun did. Being a plumbing novice Richard was happy to explain the pros and cons of different options available and gave a very reasonable quote. With the work carried out it was done in a timely manner and it all seems very good. One thing had to be changed from when the quote was given due to a problem with our old radiator and a very straightforward and reasonable option was offered.

After much research I finally found a trustworthy, reliable, fair pricing, polite and professional plumber in Richard (and co.), who carried out the above works. But there was more to come. While changing the valves he pointed out to me that the wall mounting brackets of one of the radiators were loose. Without hesitation the radiator was taken off the wall, flushed out in the garden and the brackets permanently secured at no extra charge. All cleaned up and finished on time within the original quotation. I most certainly will use Richard's services again and recommend him to anyone without hesitation. In fact, I am already thinking about possible changes to my bathrooms.

Tenants complained of poor water pressure. The job took two trips but that was mainly down to the poor workmanship of the boiler installer some 5 years ago. Richard immediately got on to the problem and has highlighted some shoddy work but did not pressurise me to engage him to fix it. No hard sell and completely trust worthy.

Richard did a great job from start to finish. Seemed to genuinely care about the job he was doing and was totally upfront about what would be required and costs involved. Couldn't always keep to the agreed timings but always kept me informed so no problem at all. He fixed the problem and I've had no issues since. He's a really good guy and would definitely be my first port of call if I have any other work that needs doing.

I rang Richard early this morning and he came around at 10 am as he said he would to give me a quote. He brought along a catalogue to show me various types of toilets to choose from, and came back to do the job a few hours later as promised. With no reviews for this company I took a chance and called Richard, and I am so glad I did. He came to my house to look at what was required, I wanted a fully refurbed bathroom. He was easy to get on with and within 48 hours I had my quote with a 3D drawing of what it would look like. He ended up doing a fantastic job and I cannot thank him enough for all the hard work he did. Every night he cleaned up and at the end left the bathroom spotless and took the old bathroom away. I will definitely be using him again, without hesitation.

Richard certainly resolved an otherwise dreadful day, after having no other choice but to shower in cold water, in readiness for work early on Monday morning. After I made contact he was able to attend almost immediately, so much so that I left work early to return home in order to grant him access. He completed the task quickly having the model pump on board his van, also leaving the area tidy. I would not hesitate in the slightest in recommending his services.
