Andrew has been involved in the arboricultural industry for over 15 years, and for the last 13 years running Andrew Gale Tree Surgery. He is passionately committed to quality tree care and providing a tailored arboricultural service for clients who care about the appearance and safety of the trees on their property.

Our workforce share our enthusiasm for quality and workmanship, and we pride ourselves on supplying our customers with a polite, well mannered and efficient service. 

We are happy to provide a complete service starting with an initial visit to discuss the proposed work followed by a written quotation.  We will handle any TPO or Conservation Area applications. All quotations are individual and we will be happy to offer help and advice regarding a customers specific needs and requirements.

Some of our services include crown reductions and reshaping, thining and crown lifting, complete dismantling and site clearance, stump grinding and replanting.  All waste material is recycled. 

We work for domestic and commercial clients and can supply references on request.  We are fully insured with a £10 million indemnity and all our work is carried out to British Standard 3998 - recommendations for tree work.

Monterey Cypress : crown reduce by 50%

This was a very tall and wide evergreen which was preventing our solar panels working efficiently. The three young men arrived at 8.45am and worked through until 4.00pm with two 1/2 hour breaks. The tree was surrounded - a workshop, a boundary fence, a rose garden and an orchard but the timber was cut with care and dropped without causing any damage. Then branch by branch it was moved to an open space in the garden, cut down to manageable pieces to be burnt by us when convenient. All the small debris was then raked up and put with the rest.

Pruning of 11 Oak Trees subject to TPO

The work was carried out to a very high standard. On each tree they checked I was satisfied with the work before moving on to the next. Cleared and chipped 95% of the pruned items. After they had left found a couple of felled branches they had missed clearing up ,hence only the score of 9 for tidiness. Very polite and considerate workman

Felling and complete removal of eight Scots Pines

Can't award higher than 10! This was a mammoth job that I had been putting off, but Andrew Gale and his team just took it in their stride - I didn't even know they'd been there (except for all the extra light!) as I was at work full-time.

Emergency roadside clearance tree work

Fittleworth Parish Council was asked by West Sussex to find a tree surgeon to remove a tree that had come down in high winds and was blocking the road - the police had closed it and were keen to open it quickly. The contractors West Sussex used couldn't do the job until the next day but Andrew Gale came to our rescue and did a fantastic job, liaising with West Sussex and the parish councillors on my behalf, opening the road that day and doing a great tidy up job the next day. Great service and very reasonably priced!

Tree pruning including one to TPO planning requirements

Professional, extremely tidy, communicative as to what done and a real pleasure to have working for us. Absolutely nothing to criticise in the slightest. Just felt sorry that a neighbour upset the younger of the two through no fault of his own. Thoroughly recommend this firm. Will most definitely use them next time.

To reduce and reshape a Mulberry tree.
