The planning stage was unhurried and was a creative dialogue. The Aphex team (all three of them) showed great attention to detail in the fitting and decoration of the new bathroom. The work took a few days longer than planned but only because they refused to fit shower panels and cupboard doors which were supplied with minor damage. A less than perfect job was unacceptable to them and Aphex is characterised by a real quality of work. We knew what to expect because a few years ago they fitted a new kitchen for us and displayed similar outstanding qualities. It would be impossible to fault their work. We felt completely comfortable having them around the house and felt able to trust them entirely. 100% score in every way!

Having experienced the workmanship of Aphex Home Installations Ltd when they did some work for the landlord of the flat I was renting I knew that they would do a good job when I needed some refurbishment done to a house that I was buying. I was lucky to be able to carry on renting while the work was going on and I was kept informed of their progress and was given updated work schedules when I changed my mind on a few things. We have no hesitation in recommending Simon and his team. The work they carried out was to the highest standard. A very competitive quote which they stuck to. All through the job we were kept informed of progress and had many opportunities to amend the work as we saw fit, they were very accommodating and patient! The decorating was exemplary and finished with care and sympathy towards our Victorian house, which we very much appreciated. The tiling, plumbing and plastering was performed with an eye for detail perfection, very professional and we are very pleased with the result.

A very detailed and contemporary design was produced, they picked the colours and units for all the rooms, it looked very good. I left the country for several weeks and they were left to get on with it. The work they produced was of a very high quality, and I was very happy with the styling.

Work was completed to a good standard, within the agreed time scale and budget. Simon dealt quickly with any problems arising during the work. One small point, however, is that final fitting of the plinths hindered access for the recommended flooring contractor. This has resulted in there being a small gap between flooring and kitchen units which could have been avoided, giving a better finish.

We are absolutely thrilled with the work that has been done. From planning to completion we received a professional service. Fitters turned up on time and worked hard each day. The project was completed in the expected time frame and the standard and finish is of an outstanding quality. We chose this company as it is a local business. We didn't want to approach a large company to do this work as from experience, they don't always have customer care/service as a top priority once you have paid! I can only express what others have said about Aphex the job was designed costed and delivered as requested there were some unexpected challenges when the old floor was removed but this was handled quickly and efficiently to keep the job on track. I can honestly say there is absolutely nothing I can fault with the work I had done, it exceeded my expectations. They even came in on a Sunday to complete a few bits to ensure the bathroom could be commissioned before Xmas. As I have a 6 floor penthouse there was always going to be an issue with removal of what seemed like skip loads of rubble and debris from the old bathroom but even this was neatly put on the roof terrace and then all removed in 1 go. My carpets were all covered with plastic and every night after they had finished everything was swept and tidied away. As I have previously said there is nothing I could fault this job on. The workmen who actually undertook the work where very friendly and efficient, meticulously tidy (laying clothes every day and sweeping the room regularly throughout the work) and have done a very professional job. One small snag after completion was addressed very efficiently with the guys returning quickly despite the snow. All in all an impressive job which we are very happy with.

Simon was extremely patient and not pushy for our business just extremely helpful from start to finish. The fitters Shane and Darren were also first class, very tidy, efficient and helpul.... The trader was very accommodating of all our requests and spent a long time discussing different options with us. We were really impressed by the work of the fitters who were polite, courteous, tidy and generally nice guys. The quality of their work is very high and we are really pleased with the end result. I felt that the only one small gripe that relates to the sub-contracted plasterer who turned up 3 hours early without notice, didn't know what he was supposed to be doing and then didn't complete the job properly which meant someone else had to be called in to rectify the problem. Otherwise, highly recommended.

A complete replacement bathroom was undertaken. When the old bathroom was stripped out extra work was revealed which they gladly completed at our request, charging a reasonable extra amount on the bill. During the work all four tradesmen were polite and tidy workers. The two main men, the fitter and his mate, were very helpful making suggestions to improve on our ideas for the new bathroom. The end result is a delight with which we are extremely pleased.

The fitters were fantastic, very conscientious and have completed an 'A' class job. Very tidy, courteous and excellent craftsmanship. Simon (Director of Aphex) communicated extremely well about the job and timings and although there were a few hiccups this was outside the control of Aphex and resolved efficiently. The final job is fabulous and I would have no hesitation in recommending them and also when the time comes, using them for a new kitchen.

I had a leak in my kitchen ceiling which was promptly diagnosed to be a leaky (and very corroded) hot water cylinder in my bathroom. Aphex where able to order and fit a new one very efficiently and kept part of the old one to show me where the damage had been, I really appreciated seeing what had been taken out. They cleaned up after themselves and left the area they were working in tidy.

I was very impressed with this company in dealing with the total refurbishment of my kitchen. There were several unforeseen problems that arose during the refurbishment and these were rectified without any hesitation and without any further expense. Every stage of the project was dealt with in a professional manner. I am delighted with my new kitchen and happy to recommend them to others.

I needed work done quickly and Simon responded by visiting straight away and providing a fair estimate that they stuck to. I cannot fault their work ethic and the standards were high. Revisited without problems to sort out few glitches some of which were my making. Usually patient with my foibles. Simon is very professional - as a single woman I sometimes felt pressured by his colleagues but they wanted to get the job done and Simon was a good foil for them. I would recommend them.

Very useful discussions with Simon before work started; kept informed throughout. All difficulties overcome. We used Aphex again in March 2010 for further work in the house, based on the prompt and effective workmanship from last year. All members of Simon's team were courteous and considerate in minimising disruption during their work.

Simon took a lot of time and several iterations to produce a design which met our requirements, some of which were conflicting. He was patient in producing multiple costings to meet our budget as we substituted different appliances and fitments. He was very realistic in understanding our budget constraints. We were offered a wide range of units, finishes and worktops. The fact that he offers a build to order range of carcasses meant that we could fit some awkward spaces precisely; other suppliers may not be able to do this. The resulting kitchen is now a real hub for cooking, eating, listening to music or just relaxing, and has met our high expectations in full.
