Overall, a good job. The only dissatisfaction was that having given a quote that stated "There will be no extra added charges to this price", APS Plastering later said they would charge extra to remove the rubble from the house.

Response from APS Plastering:
My quote did say there would be no extra charges but I do not price in to remove waste, as I get charged to dispose of rubble, so I think its always best the owner tips it free of charge. I only suggested he should tip the waste. Although this job had 10 rubble bags, I took 5 away and I took all the broken bricks away. I did not say I would charge extra but suggested its free for the owner to dispose of. So in the end we split the waste without the customer having to pay any money for disposal. My aim is to always have the customers still in pocket and find the best solution for both.

Excellent- I would recommend Adam and APS Plastering I selected him by way of the recommendations on Check-A Trade. I called Adam on the Tuesday of this week, and he was able to visit to provide an estimate that evening. He suggested the best way to complete the repair Since it was a relative small job, he was able to find a slot to complete the work during then same week on Thursday. A very pleasant and professional individual; and it is evident from the way he worked that he has a lot of pride in his approach to his work. He is probably the tidiest plaster I have ever seen work, and the finish was excellent. He asked me to call him if I was not completely satisfied with the finish after decorating, and that he would return should any further work be necessary. Very professional.

This is the second time Adam has done some work for us and we were again impressed with the quality of his work and his professional and friendly attitude. Adam was able to complete the work at very short notice, was exceptionally tidy and his workmanship was excellent.

Adam dealt with a mixture of plastering tasks which included a large extension with a vaulted roof, plus extensive re-plastering in the existing kitchen. He plastered all the walls and ceilings to a very high standard. He was happy to visit site on a number of different dates to fit in with our programme of work. The 7 out of 10 for tidiness may be a little unfair, as plastering is obviously a messy job, and our ability to dispose of materials at the end of each day was limited. We are still well pleased with the finished job some 3 months down the line and although the cost including materials was quite a lot, this was a big project and I feel that, although Adam may not have been the cheapest, he gave good value for money. With a project costing £40,000, choosing a cheaper quote, and spoiling the job by ending up with dodgy walls and ceilings just isn't worth the risk.
