This is the first time we've used Checkatrade and John and Rob certainly lived up to the previous comments made as they did an excellent job - helpful advice given at planning stage, arrived on time, extremely tidy and the completed work looks lovely. On the second day they weren't working in the best of conditions as our outside drains flooded (nothing to do with them we should add!) but they still carried on and finished the job. We'd certainly use them again.

Used trader five years ago and were really pleased, however this time we are completely disappointed and were hoping for products of a higher specification. We would have used another form if we had known the quality of the products used.

There was extensive preparatory work involved with this contract i.e. new wall, floor, ceiling, full re-plastering and complete re-plumbing of the bathroom to include the removal and replacement of lead pipe work and repositioning of all items . Product was selected to keep the overall cost down.The new bathroom suite was delivered 10 days prior to installation, checked over by the customers and accepted. The customers were at home every day of the installation. The work was carried out to our usual first class and exacting standard. The job was finished for the agreed price, the customers were exceptionally happy with everything and the bill was paid. One week later it emerges that they decided that they had made a mistake and did not like the new bathroom suite. In my opinion the job was carried out with the customer’s approval throughout.

I am extremely disappointed by the above comments made by this customer as I, probably more than most, discuss all that can be discussed prior to the commencement of a new bathroom project with my customers. However, there are many decisions that have to be made during the install most of which cannot be made until the room is cleared and reveals all of its constructional & plumbing secrets. Things like finished tiling levels & final placement of new products can only be done at this time & it is somewhat naive to believe that this can all be decided beforehand.
