There were problems sourcing the floor as it had to match existing rooms laid 30 years ago. This took several months but we were kept fully informed of the progress. Once dates were fixed for the work, they were adhered to. The floor was laid well but, initially the surface finish was not right. This was redone without any further problems and the finish is to the standard which we expected.

The fitters, Steve and his son Russell, were great to have around the house - they were jovial and hard working and kept any (inevitable) mess down to a minimum. The floor itself is a superb product and looks absolutely stunning - we are sorry we had to put any furniture on it! Ashley flooring gave a competitive price for a solid oak floor to be fitted to my lounge. They arranged for the floor to be laid within a relatively tight period of time and the results are stunning. The fitter who came to lay the floor was highly skilled and offered competent advice on how the boards should be placed. I now have a beautiful floor which I am extremely happy with.
