Built laundry room plus shower room.

Front of house rebuilt

The job required complex repair work. The bay windows at ground and first floor level as well as the roof above had moved, resulting in significant cracks and risk of collapse. This meant that nearly the whole front of the house had to be removed and rebuilt. I used the Checkatrade website to select several builders and asked them to supply quotes. When I first met Tony he looked so young that my first thought was, would he be able to do the work. I was quickly reassured when he started to talk about the work and explained what he would be able to do. He was the only builder who explained the need to register the work with the builder inspector and that the completed work would need to be signed off by the council. He obviously has a good understanding of planning and building regulations. Tony carried out the building work and had a number of expert tradesmen who carried out other tasks, all of whom carried out work to a high standard. We were particularly pleased with the roofer who replaced tiles and tile hanging to match what was originally there. This included sourcing reclaimed tiles and using traditional techniques in order to match other areas of the house. The overall result was excellent and many people have complemented us on the work that has been done. All of the tradesmen Tony sent to our home were friendly, helpful and carried out work to a high standard. The only area where I have not scored 10 is the reliability and time keeping. This is because we had problems with the window company that Tony used. It was bad luck that the firm went out of business, at the time we were having work done and we had to arrange for someone else to fit the UPVC windows. This was beyond Tony’s control, but I need to comment on this to provide honest feedback. I would definitely recommend Tony and his company Aspire.

Wall knocked down and driveway extended. And block paving patio layed in the rear garden.

Tony and the guys who work for him are very hard working. The work is of a very high standard, always reliable and on time. They are all polite and work tidily. I have had Tony do 2 jobs for me. I highly recommend these guys and will not hesitate to get them back if I need any more work doing.

Repair to rear garden wall and new front path.

Repair of dry-stone wall and new front pavement. Tony was always polite and took time to listen. Have not given 10 for workmanship and tidiness as paving was not straight and some cement stains left on front path. However, the wall was of an excellent standard and hence would recommend Aspire.

Tony was clearly knowledgeable about the work needed and kept us informed/updated about what they were doing and how it was going. Tony was very easy to talk about what we wanted and he would say if it was practical or not and suggest alternatives. We are more than happy with the work and the result is fantastic, we use our new extension so much now! We would happily recommend Aspire/Tony and hope to use his company again.
