This is the second time we have used ADW. This time Terry took on the task of completing a DIY job, started by us before we realised the scale of the job. It was completed to a high standard, and looks amazing- no way we can pass it off as our own work! His team cleared the site of their own waste, plus the waste we'd created ourselves when excavating. Price was fair and as agreed.

I wanted to be sure I was choosing a company who would lay block-paving in the correct way, and I was able to go and see driveways they had done years ago which still looked as they should. I also talked to past customers which all put my mind at rest. And I am pleased I did as I am extremely happy with the quality of their work. My driveway looks stunning, and my new front wall is fantastic workmanship. I was given excellent planning advice and kept informed throughout. The workmen worked quickly and efficiently, always polite, and tidied up as they went along. The price stayed as I was quoted. I highly recommend Terry and his team. Thank-you.

Although the builders were very polite, friendly and tidy unfortunately the quality of the work was very disappointing and not consistent with what was agreed in the quote. We have made a number of requests for it to be rectified but after six months have had no response.

Response from Associated Driveways:
The customer does have cause for concern in some areas, which we have agreed to remedy and as soon as the customer contacts us we will return. However the main issue is the colour of the blocks and that nothing else we do other than to change the blocks will make her happy with the work carried out. We are not prepared to do this as the customer agreed the colour at the out set. We understand that the customer has told Checkatrade that she has a damp problem although she did not have when we spoke to her last and asked that specific question nor has she told us direct that there is a problem. We are sorry that the customer is unhappy and we have tried to correct this within reason, but have not been able to come to a satisfactory outcome for both parties. I would also say that since completing the installation the customer contacted us as she said we had blocked her drains, we went straight out to find the problem lay with the neighbour’s drain (which we unblocked anyway at no charge to the customer or her neighbour) and at no time did she mention any other problems that she had.

Associated Drive charged a reasonable price for their work. The work was of a high standard, their staff were polite and friendly and they made good suggestions concerning the design and layout of the drive which we then asked them to carry out. We are very happy with the end result on both a practical level and also aesthetic level, as the work adds "curb appeal" to our house.

Main area of drive is excellent and we are very pleased. However a wall built to the side of the drive was poorly built. The foundations of the wall can be seen and a pillar at the centre of the wall is not resting on the footings. Instead of taking the block paving to the wall Associated Driveways tried to hide it with slate. We have contacted them on numerous occasions and made two appointments for them to come and look at the wall and rectify it but they have never turned up. We are now having to pay someone else to do the work. We have also not received our guarantee and we doubt if this is valid given they won't return to correct this problem

Despite the worst snow-stormy weather in 18 years, which occurred right in the middle of the job, they still completed this in great time - the finished product was superb and they were friendly, helpful and a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend them.
