If you need anything doing to your drains call this company - We had an obstruction in our drain and two other companies said that the only way to clear it was to dig up the road, which would have cost us thousands that we just couldn't afford, Attend a Drain were honest and skilled enough to clear the object through the use of rod attachments. Polite and fantastic service from booking appointment to work being done. If you want a company that you can trust and not just trying to charge you for unnecessary work then don't call anyone else but these guys. Superb!

Initial quote was to carry out a survey on church building. Then we were told that the survey could not be carried out as the drains were blocked and needed a jet wash. An additional amount was agreed for the jet wash. The employee came 30minutes late, had a quick look around and said that he would come another day instead. Finally the jet wash and survey were carried out but when we received the report only a limited jet wash had been done. More money has been requested to finish off the jet wash and complete survey.

Response from Attend A Drain:
Our client asked us to locate the internal drainage runs and mark them on a plan prior to internal building works. This required CCTVing and tracking with a locating sond. On our first attempt no one was at the property to give us access, as per our arranged appointment and the client could not be contacted via telephone. Eventually after several attempts over the next few days our client was contacted and gave authorisation to high-pressure jet and unblock the drainage. Our engineer returned but due to circumstances out of his control was 30 minutes late. The engineer did attempt to contact the client to let him know he was running late, but again he could not be contacted. The drainage was unblocked, CCTV'd and the runs tracked, all this information was marked on a plan for the client as requested. A by product of tracking and locating the drainage was that the drainage was visually inspected within and our findings were reported back to the client. Unfortunately for the client the drainage contained numerous areas of damage and defects, which require further work and it's seems this information was not appreciated by the client.

Called out to unblock a sewer pipe. No estimate given - jet washed drain pipe for a short time, did not unblock. Stopped work and advised to call Southern Water. This was totally incorrect. We had to employ a second company who did clear the blockage by jet washing. Bill received from Attend a Drain for £53 and MD not considerate on phone when questioned.

Response from Attend A Drain:
"Our engineer called to blocked drainage at (the customers address) on 13/2/06. Upon arrival the engineer attempted to unblock the drainage via high pressure jetting for a short time only, which was unsuccessful. Via investigations the engineer determined that five other properties also had backed up drainage, which led the engineer to believe the blockage may have been due to a problem in the Southern Water Authority mains. The engineer therefore ceased work after half an hour only which was agreed by the client as it is Attend a drains policy not to carry out unnecessary work for which the client would be charged. The engineer then left the property havng informed the client to let us know if the problem was on the Southern Water Authority mains so that if this was not the case our engineer could return and carry out furthur investigations/work. Southern Water then attended the property and determined the problem was not due to their mains.The client then proceeded to call in another company instead of calling us back and this other firm cleared the blocked drainage after two hours. Attend a drain stands by the engineers decision not to run up a two hour bill without checking the problem was not due to the Sothern Water mains first as the work would have been unjustified at that stage and would have really given the client a reason to give negative feedback had the problem been traced to the mains." NOTE: CAT have seen a copy of Attend a drains Terms and Conditions signed by the client in question immediately after the work was completed agreeing to the amount charged.

They came within 2 hours of being called. The work was completed within one hour, which included a TV camera of the complete system from House to street. Full explanation given to me re: the cause of the problem. I would recommend them.
