Following my early afternoon S.O.S. Phone call from Plymouth to Mr Smith that my 97 year old Mother's TV was giving trouble (cause unknown) he was at her house later that afternoon to diagnose a simple problem and get it up and running for her at very reasonable cost. Excellent speedy and courteous service! Now have him book marked on my computer for any future problems.

He said it may be the power supply unit in the TV and quoted to replace if necessary. On inspection it was the box causing the problem so he recommended calling them out. His fee for the call out and inspection etc I felt was fair. He was polite and helpful. I would recommend him to anyone else and will use him again if necessary.

I found Malcolm's phone number on here and gave him a ring. I described the fault over the phone and he knew straight away what the problem was. After my mother's old tv went kaput, I ordered one from Currys. I called Malcolm, he arrived promptly, was friendly and expertly installed freeview, sky and a dvd player in a flash. From the gobbledegook instruction manual that flummoxed me and prompted the call, It was great watching the expert work without bothering with the so-called manual. He was even patient enough to go through the operation of the tv with me so I could explain it to my mother. A lovely man

I located ATV Services on the Checkatrade web site and booked a service visit. Malcolm was in our area having completed a previous job early and phoned to see if he could come to look at the video recorder 24 hours before the appointment time which was possible. He quickly identified that it needed retuning, undertook this and checked that both the video recorder and television were now both working correctly. I would have now hesitation in both using and recommending ATV Services in the future.

I found this company via Thomson Local, after explaining the problem with my TV whereby it would not turn on, was given a quote and warned of possible increase in that quote. The gentleman arranged to attend at my home the next day and arrived at the time given to work round my work. Job carried out quickly and the cost was as quoted. Very pleased with this company. Very pleased with ATV's work. I found their details in Yellow Pages and by telephone arranged a home visit for the following day. Their technician (Malcolm) arrived at the promised time and quickly assessed and fixed the problem. Our three year old flat screen Samsung TV developed a fault. It was slow switching on and the picture was dim. I found Malcolm on the Check a Trade website and gave him a ring. He was able to diagnose over the phone what the problem was and arranged to call the following evening. He arrived as promised, the fault was as he said on the phone which he quickly replaced. After the repair was complete, he re-tuned the set to make sure everything was operating normally and even tuned in the terrestrial signal which we had not used till this point. Very impressed and would definitely recommend and use again.

Quote given was accurate, asked how old tv was and suggested we try and get the replacement paid for by shop, as it was an inherent problem. Excellent advice - as the suppliers are paying for the replacement part. Even if we paid, it was much cheaper than a new tv.
