Terry gave advice on the phone a couple of weeks previously on reducing the water flow to the cistern to cure a loud banging noise after flushing the toilet. However the noise returned so he was asked to call and sort out the problem. He carried out the repair with his usual efficiency and we now have a quiet flush again.

Noticed boiler not heating up late Sunday evening. Rang Avon Gas Monday morning, all fixed and working again Monday night. Fault quickly diagnosed and part replaced from stock. Terry definitely went the extra mile to fix the problem and I will call Avon Gas again for routine servicing and any other heating issues I get in the future.

Avon Gas came out the same day as the initial phone call to have a look at our boiler to see what was wrong and give us a quote. He was very prompt and made very clear explanations as to what was wrong, why it had broken, how he would fix it and the cost. As it was a Friday he said he didn’t know if he could get the part until Monday however we received a phone call later that day stating he had found the part and would be able to come out on the Saturday morning to fix it so we would have heating and hot water for the weekend. There was no additional fee for him coming out on Saturday. Again he was very prompt and clear in explaining every step of the process and even showed us the damaged part. The timescales and cost were exactly as he had quoted. All together very quick, transparent and reasonably priced. I would recommend to everyone.

I didn't think I'd find an Engineer prepared to travel in the bad weather (snow) but Avon Gas came out within the hour. He was clear and concise and gave explanations (helpful when you're a woman!) and even gave helpful tips I'd not heard of before. He left 50 minutes later. My heating was back on and my water nice and hot. I'm grateful to him and very pleased with the service he gave. If it hadn't of been for Avon Gas helping me I would have had a miserable weekend with temperatures in the minus and no heating or hot water.

Having renewed the very old ballcock and cured the overflow, pointed out that there was not a lot of life left in old syphon, (It had needed quite a few pushes for it to work), Attempted to fit a new syphon but it wouldn't fit so had to make a diaphragm for the old one and refit it. I am extremely pleased with work Terry has done. Our central heating system has never worked so well. The radiators are now hotter than they have ever been and the whole system makes much less noise after the power flush. Would definitely recommed him.

A new boiler would work at 90% efficiency but the 80% mine was still working at was good enough. The 10% improvement in efficiency would take a long time to recover a new boiler cost. A refreshing response in this day and age. A very minor problem after the service was dealt with promptly over the phone.
