Cut and cap 2 gas pipes in Kitchen

Called Terry in at short notice during removal of kitchen units (prior to fitting new kitchen). Two gas pipes were discovered that were no longer in use and required cutting down and capping. He came out next day and carried the job in his usual thorough manner.

Powerflush central heating system 14 radiators and boiler

Terry came to diagnose why some rads weren't hot. He was systematic in working out the problem and showed me the evidence. The system had not had any limiter put in it. We agreed the work and the price. He suggested letting the solution work for 2 weeks, so no quick fix. He returned and took time to sort out each radiator, including running the two difficult radiators through twice. He showed me what he had found. He also called to confirm appointments, came on time and worked tidily. Avon Gas was the 4th firm I had called. The other 3 said they would phone back but did not.

Fixed our boiler

Powerfiush heating system

Terry scored full marks in all the disciplines listed above. A full explanation was given at every stage of the work, his attention to detail was second to none. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anybody else. Excellent.

Repair ball valve in toilet cistern

Terry gave advice on the phone a couple of weeks previously on reducing the water flow to the cistern to cure a loud banging noise after flushing the toilet. However the noise returned so he was asked to call and sort out the problem. He carried out the repair with his usual efficiency and we now have a quiet flush again.

Annual boiler service

As usual Terry arrived on time as arranged. Very polite clean and tidy. Work carried out without any fuss or drama. Everything left in full working order with the assurance of a job well done ready to meet the coming winter. Would thoroughly recommend Avon Gas and Terry to anybody requiring this or any other heating or plumbing work.
