Brian is friendly and polite, he turn up to start work, when he said he would. The work he did was to knock out fireplace, rebuild partition wall and then plastered walls. Brian cleared up the mess as he went along and left the kitchen tidy. His quality of work was to a high standard, and I was very please with his finished work. I found him very reliable and trustworthy. I will be using Brian again, to do some other work in the future.

Brian has done work for me before and as I was so pleased I asked him back to convert my garage extension into a room. I was not disappointed. As before Brian and his team were pleasant and reliable and the finished work is of a high standard. I would not hesitate to recommend Brian and will certainly ask him back to do any further work in the future.

I could not employ trader. Trader was chosen because of his professional submission, manner and price. The date to finish was 19th August. Early clearance revealed the necessity to completely rewire and add a layer of plaster board to all ceilings. Additional builders work was agreed and assumed the additional work would be finished around 9th September. During September the trader gave three successive dates to have the job completed and each time failed. Shortly after paying a cheque for the major part of the work to date we received an email “I can’t carry on with the work on the bungalow” explaining that the work in conjunction with another project very near his home was making him exhausted and stressed. This caused us to rush in other tradesmen from Checkatrade to complete the work at extra time and cost. Some of the work carried out was a good standard. The painting was of patchy standard depending on who carried out the work painter or labourer. The plumbing was very poor causing four leaks substandard . Overall performance was poor but walking away from a project is unforgivable.

The bungalow had two bedrooms,lounge,dining room,kitchen,bathroom,hallway and varnished porch. All of which were stripped, many walls re-plastered, then and decorated. The bathroom was fully stripped and after several re-designs, was fitted and tiled. The kitchen was stripped and client supplied kitchen which was fitted after in my opinion wrong customer measurements were rectified. I am unaware of the four water leaks mentioned and due to the additional works added the work over lapped with other work scheduled in, causing stress. I have advised the customer in an email that if he considers I have been paid for anything I have not done then I will reimburse him. Having got my work load back on track I would always be willing to return and rectify any “substandard work” at the bungalow.

Brian completed the work promptly and efficiently. The standard of the repair work was great - he left things as good as new! Would happily use Brian again if we need future work completed.

Very satisfied with the work carried out by Brian Thompson. Punctual, efficient, tidy workmanship, pleasant, helpful and honest. Brian also sorted out problem with cedar panelled kitchen ceiling due to water damage, plaster had fallen and was laying above cedar boards. Previously I had been told by one builder that to resolve problem, the whole cedar ceiling would have to be removed. Not the case! ...Brian was able to rectify the situation with the minimum of fuss and for considerably less money. I would certainly recommend him an honest and reliable person.

The flat was almost derelict when Brian started work. He did an amazing job throughout. He was always approachable and willing to go that extra mile to help the whole project run smoothly. It was a pleasure working with him and we will certainly use him again.I strongly recommend him.

I can't seem to enter the date properly on my mobile but Brian carried out a large amount of plastering and rendering on an extension to my house. This guy is trustworthy and pleasant. The work was great and still is 5 years later. He has since been back for some smaller jobs which he completed brilliantly.

Brian recently finished a large kitchen extension for us, and since has been an invaluable source of knowledge, advice and assistance in helping us renovate the rest of our house. Brian fitted a large resin shower tray, as part of our own DIY project, where we were unable to fit ourselves. Brian is always willing to come over and provide advice and guidance - and when quoting for work, is very reasonable and his work is always to an exceptional standard...Thank you for all your help Brian...and for lending us some tools!! A great guy as well as a great builder, although he needs to work on his jokes...Thanks again Brian.

After 27 weeks spent on a project that we were told would take 6 weeks, Brian called one day to say he wouldn't be finishing the job, he had been over paid, yet he flatly refused to return any money, declaring that he was facing bankruptcy and closing his business down. Despite many messages left, they failed to return our calls leaving us no choice but to find someone else to complete the job. The work that had been completed has been of an acceptable standard.

The time taken for this job was extended due to the customer did not want to have a canopy scaffolding to cover against the weather, so we had to cover every night and the customer diverted the work force from set tasks in order to carry out work to their schedule not mine. I lost money on the job and nearly lost my business. She had a good job done for the money.

Our work was completed by a separate firm to Brians, however Brian and his team completed the work from start to finish. Brian did a fantastic job, and was always at hand to offer expert advice and guidance. He was a pleasure to have onsite, and I could not have asked for better workmanship.
