I was told to expect someone this afternoon which he did. I described how the problem had manifested itself. After some investigation, he told me what was at fault and how much it would cost to replace. I was given the opportunity to decline the replacement work but I accepted it and the warning that another part might also be at fault. Fortunately, a spare element was carried on the van so it was replaced and the oven put back together again. A quick test proved that only the element had been defective and the engineer left within 30 mins of arriving.
