This job was to rebuild a partially collapsed chimney stack. Brian completed the work in a single day and sourced bricks and potts to keep the rebuilt chimney in a visually similar look to the surrounding neighbours chimneys. He handled all scaffoldings arrangements and also replaced a few roof tiles that had been broken when the chimney collapsed. Another excellent piece of work.

I called Brian following a major catastrophe in a building project - the double glazing company I had used had damaged all the interior walls of our large 3 bedroom house. The damage was so bad that the brickwork was exposed in many areas requiring replastering and skimming. I needed Brian to complete all the work in 2 days so the decorator could finish his work on time (even though it was about 8 days work according to other tradesmen). Brian came at 7am and left at 9pm working with his colleague - Marios. They had completed 80% of the work on the first day and completed everything on time on the 2nd day including skimming and finishing touches - I am still amazed at the quality achieved in the time frame. Brian has been a gem of a find - I found him before he came on Checkatrade through a family friend and took a risk as I did not know him. He has outperformed anyone I have used before and is someone I cannot recommend highly enough - he is a true professional. He has a great Liverpudlian sense of humour too!

Brian was recommended by a family friend as an excellent all round plasterer and bricklayer. I asked Brian to build a very complex brick barbecue that included a Tandoor, standard brick barbecue and a cupboard. This also included a roof to protect the barbecue from rain. I doubt anyone would have ever seen a barbecue as amazing as this! I can only say that what Brian built from minimal instructions must be the best barbecue in South London all from a few sketchy ideas and some rough information I provided. He was able to improvise and his brickwork was beautiful and very clean. Brian was very clear in his quotation process and the price he quoted included another colleague - Marios - was was an amazing worker. I was so impressed with Brian's work that I called him again after a double glazing company had caused major damage to all the walls of our house due to its age (pre WW2 construction). Raheel
