BKB Accountants was formed in 2005 by Alistair and Louise Wallace. Alistair is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) as well as a Chartered Tax Adviser, while Louise is a fellow of the International Association of Bookkeepers. The business has grown more than we had anticipated at the outset solely from recommendations and we employed Luke Piper, a fully qualified member of the ACCA, in March 2009. Luke became a director on 1st May 2011.
We have built the business from home and offer a relaxed service that differs from your mainstream high street accountants, whilst always maintaining a professional manner. Our existing clients tell us that they find us extremely approachable and new clients seem relieved that we are normal people!
We offer all the services that you would expect from your accountant varying from tax return and accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships, companies and trusts, personal and corporate tax planning, tax investigation services, business development, VAT Return preparation and payroll services. We also provide knowledgeable child and working tax credit planning and even manage client's claims throughout the year so you don't have to deal with the Tax Credit Office yourselves. This includes remuneration structuring to ensure that you are maximising your tax credit claim and obtaining the best return. Most accountants will not get involved in tax credit planning and we have obtained thousands of pounds on behalf of existing and new clients.
Our existing clients range from individuals with investment income to be reported, right up to Companies with multi million pound turnover. Business clients are in varying industry sectors including retail, service, IT, tradesmen, catering and professional. Where we can help client's in other ways we will and have already helped existing clients grow their business and increase turnover and profitability.
In March 2009, we had an inspection from our regulatory body, ACCA, and were awarded their top accreditation for quality assurance. This means that all our internal systems, reviewing and knowledge does not just meet the basic level, it means that as a client you can rest assured that you will be given top attention to detail.
We now also employ Sharon Berry as our payroll manager so we are able to which offer dedicated payroll advice and services to employers struggling to cope with the red tape involved with employing staff. Gemma Lanning is also employed as an additional bookkeeper. We are shortly about to also appoint an accounts clerk to help with our growth in this area.
Due to the growth we have experienced. We have now moved into new premises in Branksome, Poole. This will enable us to take on more staff with the sole aim to maintain the level of reliable service that we have built our reputation on.
