Most competitive quote. Door appears very sturdy and well finished. Fitting was excellent. Neat and precise use of edging strips to give a seemless integrated appearance to adjacent exterior wood panelling. Fitter was very obliging. When he had finished I noticed that he had refitted an alarm sensor in the same position as the old door. I wanted it in a different position. He changed it, took of the trim that now had a few small cable-clip pinholes in it and put new trim back. No moans or groans. Did the work and left me suprisingly satisfied. Although the fitter cleared the site and tidied up in general, I marked him down because he missed some rubbish. More importantly he had taken down a curtain from the old door and left the fitting bar with protruding screws on a piece of furniture. No lasting damage done. I was very happy with the whole job. I point out the negative, in case you want to keep a closer watch on the job as it is being done.

Bowalker Windows installed new leaded UPVC windows to our property in December 2010. We were very impressed with the quality of their workmanship, the product and the professionalism of the whole team. In 2011 we asked them to install new windows to our new extension, including Bifolding doors to the kitchen/dining area. This work was also carried out to a high standard and so we recently asked them to install a Bay window to another extension in our property. We sacked the first installation team because their work was of such poor quality (and their work ethic, time-keeping and tidiness were horrendous). To be fair to Peter, he made tremendous efforts to replace and repair the work and the next two teams he allocated to us did a good job. There were a few minor snagging issues which are being resolved. Overall, this is a solid company and we have asked them to quote for more (different) work. The scores are flat for fairness, as the original poor-quality work would have an adverse effect.
