Martin has already completed 2 bathrooms for us and the cloakroom refurbishment was near the end of our project. He made an effort to fit in with our schedule and, when a problem was encountered with stripping the old tiles off, he was flexible and allowed a few days for the plaster work to dry before returning. He has an excellent way of foreseeing pitfalls before they happen and is diplomatic with his advice and guidance when suggesting alternatives. We were happy to leave Martin with a key as sometimes we were both working. Although a perfect score can leave readers sceptical, my wife and I would be happy to recommend Martin to other potential clients.

This is the second bathroom Martin has refurbished for us, and the fourth for our family-if that is not recommendation enough here is some more: Martin keeps you fully informed both before and during the job. He is very good at anticipating future problems and discussing options with you. He is extremely tidy and punctual. He is meticulous in his work and this shows in the end result. Our bathroom looks so good I don't want to use it, just sit in there and admire!

We had recently moved house and the new kitchen had an enticingly dishwasher-shaped hole with hose in place. Once the new dishwasher was delivered we realised it wasn't a job for an amateur. So we called Martin - found through Checkatrade. He was friendly, prompt, explained everything before and after the installation and the bill landed right in the middle of the estimate range. Recommended, and will use again next time I need a plumber.

Martin was recommended to us after refurbishing two bathrooms at my family nearby. They were very impressed with his work, as indeed are we. His attention to detail meant that there were no oversights and resulted in a finished bathroom that we are very happy with. Martin took time to make sure we were included in every minute decision. Could go on about all aspects of Martins work, but best recommendation is that he is coming back to quote for second bathroom refurbishment later in the month.

Mr Brooks works to a very high standard and, now that some time has passed, we continue to be impressed by our new bathroom. We were pleased by his painstaking attention to detail and the lengths he took to make sure that we were included in making decisions. The work did extend over the planned time but this was due to some unforeseen problems with our property that Mr Brooks was able to correct and he did not waiver from his original quote. Martin and I discussed how customers should grade their trades people and he said that people should be strict with their marks given. With that in mind my Wife and I cannot really fault Brooks Plumbing. After a little time has passed we remain highly impressed with the standard of work and the integrity of Martin. He also assumed a "senior" role with the other contractors in our house and helped us considerably as we are project managing the refurbishment. Our ensuite looks great and all our friends have remarked on it. Martin is now doing work for our family nearby. Highly recommended!

I was very impressed with Brooks Plumbing and Martin himself. After I contacted Martin he came around the next day to give the estimate and although very busy he was able to fit our small job in the following week. Martin was very friendly and knowledgeable offering advice on the best taps and valves to fit and he did an excellent job in replacing the tap and fitting the isolating valves at a good price. As well as this he also noticed during his work that the bath overflow was not fitted correctly and fixed that preventing a disaster waiting to happen. He also spotted that the seal at the head of the bath maybe leaking slightly so resealed it and on top of all this he fitted nice looking white plastic screw caps to the side of the bath to make it look a bit smarter. He certainly does go the extra mile!! I can’t recommend him highly enough and I’m sure we will be using him again.

The finishing on all fixtures that Martin( Brooks) fitted are still wowing us, after 2 weeks of using the room now its complete, we are over the moon with the finishing, even though we did encounter a few size issues along the way. After Martin had finished for the day, he would clear away all his tools and dust sheets and vacuum if needed, and keep you updated on the progress or any problems that have arisen. It was wonderful to go to work and know that he would crack on with the job in hand. We like the workmanship so much, we have booked in our main bathroom to be refitted in 2010
