Alan transformed my out-of-date long narrow kitchen into a modern kitchen/utility room. This also included the knocking out of a wall and building a wall between the kitchen and utility. All was completed to a very high standard and without fuss. Nothing was too much trouble and although the job threw up many challenges Alan found a way around the difficulties and made it work such that I now have the kitchen and utility that I want. The job took longer because of this but at no extra cost from the original price. I have to say that I love the look of my new kitchen and utility room but best of all both rooms are now so workable and its a pleasure to use them. I would wholeheartedly recommend Alan and will be calling on him again myself to come and fit some news doors soon.

Work was completed in the quoted time frame and to a high standard. Although I was charged a little extra than the quote this reflected the increase in price of raw materials and the quote was extremely favourable in relation to competitors. The finished kitchen looks fantastic and I have already had very good comments from friends on the work that Alan completed. Although there were a few issues with the drawings, Alan was able to offer good advice to resolve them. I would highly recommend Alan.

I found Alan very helpful in finding a convenient date to undertake the work and he came on the date and time agreed. His quotation was competitive and the work was completed in budget. During the project there was some extra work required to achieve a good finish and Alan clearly explained why this was required. I was very pleased with the quality of work and Alan's approach and have asked for a further quotation for more work.

He has worked on our house intermittently for 20 weeks during 2009 on all sorts of work - principally carpentry, decorating, door hanging, but pretty well anything that came up over the period, as in any house refurbishment. He has worked well with other trades people, and is due back in 2010 for more work. Thoroughly recommended and the 10s are well deserved.

Alan and his father arrived on time, as planned, and set about the work with a minimum of fuss. The job was more tricky than might have been anticipated because the new door (purchased separately by myself and therefore not Alan's responsibility) was slightly bowed, and the fitting of the locks required meticulous adjustments. Alan wanted to achieve the best solution possible, and took time to deliver a good result.
