A really good job all round. Can't fault him on reliability and courtesy. He basically did what he said he would. Didn't have to wait too long for the work to be done. In terms of my own bathroom refit, he was by far the cheapest and did what we wanted. He is a really helpful and honest type of chap. Would recommend him.

Mr Barnes is pleasant and obliging, but I feel that he takes on far more work than he can manage. The job therefore overruns and there is not enough time for attention to detail and the "finish" dates go out the window. Mistakes have been made, causing a leak from the washing machine which has flooded and damaged the flat below.

I am really disappointed with these scores and comments. The job did overrun slightly, because the kitchen we installed was a flat pack kitchen and we were not made aware of this at quote stage, as well as the fact that we had wanted to start the kitchen while one member of my team added the finishing touches to the bathroom, but the customer did not agree to this. We couldn’t finish the kitchen entirely as there were parts missing from the customer’s order. She led me to believe that her husband would be happy to finish the kitchen. I was paid in full for both rooms and discounted the kitchen slightly as I couldn’t finish it. I had plumbed in the washing machine to the existing pipe work and on the after sales visits was never informed of any leak. There were two aftercare visits needed for the bathroom – a faulty element in the towel rail and an air lock on the shower – but I don’t believe that any of the work carried out by my team has resulted in a leak, let alone damage in the flat below. I have tried to contact this customer to discuss this further and ask to view the alleged damage, but the customer has not been particularly cooperative. It is impossible for me to take any responsibility for this damage without seeing it.

Craig and his son refitted our bathroom and tiled it and a toilet. We found them to be very pleasant and helpful and the workmanship was very good. The time estimate was spot-on and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for similar work.

We selected from the Checkatrade leaflet which said that CB Bathrooms had 15 years experience. The main workers on the job were a tiler who admitted he had 18months-2yrs experience (hence was quite slow) and his assistant was being taught things like grouting whilst on the job! We were promised the work would be completed in 7 working days but it eventually took 11. Main workforce arrived any time between 9.15 and 9.45 most days and left early. On the last day there were 3 people working in a space 10ft x 3ft to finish. As a result CB had to spend an additional half day rectifying the shortcomings. This did not meet our expectations as previously our experience of bathroom re-fits (2) was considerably better.

When we left this job the customer seemed completely satisfied. It is through CAT that we heard different. We do have a trainee who is slightly slower than our usual tilers but this is because we want to teach him well so that his standard is high. The job ran over as there were extra elements needed along the way. Unfortunately this resulted in several of us working in a small space at the same time. We did arrive late one day as we had problems with our vehicle, but we did call the customer to let her know.
