Quality of the work, communication, tidiness were all excellent! The job took slightly longer than expected but Chris didn't charge us any extra, sticking to his original quote. If only he did kitchens, bathroom, plastering, building, we'd have him back to do the lot!

Chris supplied and fitted two wood burning stoves, lined chimneys and knocked through a wall for me. He did an outstanding job and kept the house as clean and tidy as the work permitted. I would highly recommend him.

Open up and render fireplace, fit fireplace surround and install wood burning stove with liner.
Responded straight away to initial enquiry and came round to measure up within a few days. Provided a detailed quote and was happy to answer questions to help me select the correct fireplace and understand what form the finished work would take informing my decision. Work was carried out to quotation specifics on the dates and times agreed and to a good standard. Additional woodwork undertaken to ensure selected fireplace looked as it should. Work area was kept clean during the installation and rubbish disposed of. Installation certified and all documentation supplied enabling easy registration of the stove guarantee. Friendly, courteous and they even turned up in the snow. Would thoroughly recommend.

Installation of a wood burning stove and chimney liner.
We had C.W. Stoves install a wood burning stove and chimney liner. They also had to remove the old brick fire place, plaster the new fire breast, fit a slate hearth and craft a distressed solid oak beam. Mantle piece which looks great. In fact the whole installation was great! It only took one month from the date of the initial home visit to when the stove was fully installed and commissioned with the necessary HETAS Certificate. I would recommend C.W. Stoves to anyone.

The work was done within the quoted time frame and to a very high standard, they cleaned up when finished and explained how it all worked so even I couldn't get it wrong! I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Turned up a day early without warning, causing minor issues, but started well with concise quote, liner and stove installed quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately, plasterwork was not left poorly finished and not as quoted. Only after numerous reminders and phone calls / messages did the trader return to finish the job properly after 2 days. Plaster finish still not really professional quality in my opinion and hence I reskimmed it myself!

Removal of old open fire and surround. Enlargement of opening to take wood burner and render/plaster opening and surrounding wall. Installation of new wood burner. Fitting wood mantel shelf.
Very straightforward. Chris gave a competitive quotation with none of the 'hype' of the large wood burner showroom. He turned up when he said he would, worked hard to complete the job and was very personable throughout (even though he was completely shattered by working a seven-day week in the run-up to Christmas). We are very pleased with the result.
