Recently we began having a problem with our front door lock jamming from time to time. I arranged for Gary to come round to take a look at it. Turns out all it needed was a slight adjustment to the door hinges, the lock itself was fine. This only took a few minutes to do so Gary didn't charge his call-out fee or any labour costs which was a very pleasant surprise. Overall I found Gary to be efficient, polite and honest and Central Locksmiths would definitely be our first port of call if we need a locksmith in the future.

We had trouble opening an internal door because the spring had failed. Central Locksmiths visited us the following day and replaced the internal mechanism then. I was very fortunate to have found Central Locksmiths able to come round so quickly. It was New Years Eve and I couldn't lock my conservatory door to the garden. Old style conservatory and finding a replacement locking system to my door took a while over the phone but the man was very friendly and helpful and we got there in the end with me taking measurements. He arrived within half an hour and took less than an hour to complete the work. The door is now working well and better secured than before. He quoted for the job over the phone and the final bill came very close to this. Very happy overall and would recommend them.

After explaining the problem I was having with the lock, I was told my options, and this was explained clearly so that I could make my decision on whether I wished the work to be carried out. I was given a quote for both the parts and labour and this was exactly what I was charged. The work was carried out quickly and I was pleased with politeness and courtesy. Their response to my initial and subsequent queries was handled positively and with no fuss or delay. Their price was competitive. I was pleased when they said they could do the work the next day. They turned up on time and completed the work as discussed. A minor issue occurred after they had left, but they were back the same day to rectify it. I contacted the company with regards to a faulty lock (or so I thought), and they turned up the next day as arranged. The locksmith soon discovered that the lock was fine, however the door was out of alignment, and within no time he had re aligned the door to perfect working order. I feel that perhaps another company may have changed the whole locking system, costing me far more money. Thanks for the honesty... I would recommend them time after time.

Great service, I originally phoned them at 5:50pm as my front door lock just fell off as I opened it, the guy said they were closed, but agreed to stay until I arrived so I could buy a new lock. All done OK, However, I wasn't able to fit the new lock myself, so called them the next day to arrange for them to fit it, which they did a couple of days later without any problems, the new lock is much better than my old one, fits nicer, would highly recommend a good, small friendly locksmith.
