I had asked for quotes from 2 other arborist companies but neither wanted the work as it was too difficult. The team were courteous and did a fantastic job. They did arrive late but both men were extremely courteous and worked really hard. They did a great job of removing the stumps. Most tree surgeons don't do this particularly well but they had really great equipment to do a proper job. They also properly inspected the area afterwards to make certain that nothing had been missed. They also asked us to check before they left. I would definitely recommend them. The ladies in the office are also extremely helpful

The team of up to four highly skilled personnel carried out a really excellent and entirely safe felling of these enormous trees over two days. The wood was cut into pieces suitable to store for fire/stove burning. They even formed a seat (throne) at my request in what was left of the ash tree. We could not have had a better company than CHTS. Chris Hoare himself handled all the paperwork and applied to Winchester City Council for permission to have these trees felled. Both trees were subject to Tree Preservation Orders. Thankfully, the Winchester Tree Officer was persuaded that the trees over-dominated our garden and those of neighbours and kindly granted permission for felling.
