A month ago we started to have our house cleaned on a weekly basis by Clean Freaks. They are brillliant and I am very impressed and a hugely relieved as I work long hours and this is a huge load off my shoulders. Highly recommended.

We have used Clean Freaks for a Spring Clean and regular clean. We will be continuing to use Clean Freak for our House clean. We have a large 4 bedroom house with 2 Kitchens and 3 bathrooms. They do a great job, the house looks brilliant. Very competitive prices, trustworthy and friendly staff.

We were using this company for a few months. Initially they were very impressive: two cleaners working very hard for two hours. This later degraded into one cleaner for around three hours which, when queried, was explained as their way of avoiding passing on a price increase to us. Then, without notice, we received a text message saying they couldn't clean for us any more. When doing the work they were thorough and generally did a good job but I felt let down by the decision that they could only provide one cleaner to avoid a price increase so soon after they started, and then advising me that they were quitting the job by text message.

Response from Clean Freaks Ltd:
Clean Freaks is a family run business, we have chosen to stay small so we can give a very personal and excellent service to our regular customers. A price was quoted and as we did not hear back from the customer straight away, assumed that they had made other arrangements. A few weeks later they contacted us to start a regular weekly clean which we did. Unfortunately in the meantime we had to increase our prices due to increases in petrol, products etc. All customers were advised of the increase and were happy to accept this. We advised the customer of the increase and in an effort to save them money told them that instead of increasing their price, would work harder and faster to get the job done in less time, for the same money. This is not normal practice, but felt it would help our customer and to let them know that we care about our customers. Our offer was accepted and we commenced work. After a time the customer called to say that he wanted to change the weekly clean to fortnightly, the customer gave us no prior notice which in turn lost us work. After a while we decided to advise the customer that we could no longer carry on with this arrangement as their house was very large and felt that we could no longer sustain the costs involved. I did advise the customer of our intention to end this arrangement by text and did not see this as a problem as we had been liaising this way from the start.

Initial contact was very good and our cleaner was very personable and pleasant. However, the appointment time changed from visit to visit. The quality of the clean varied somewhat between visits and was not always to the standard previously agreed. I feel that there were issues around time keeping and reliability, hence the low rating.

Originally Jo and Debbie did a spring clean of our whole house and we were so impressed by the quality of the work that they now clean our house fortnightly. I am very happy with the standard of their cleaning and with how much they manage to achieve in the time; furthermore they are extremely reliable and punctual. I would recommend them very highly.

The quality and reliability of our previous cleaner became sub-standard, so last year we looked about for a local replacement firm. We visited the Check-a-Trade site and saw Clean-Freaks were local to us. The lady we spoke to was really helpful, came to visit our home and advised how long she would need each week to keep the house looking clean and tidy. We've been using them for six months and are very impressed. They use all their own cleaning materials, own hoover etc, and our house looks superb. What we really value is that it's the same staff we see each week too, and they are very good value for money - in these tougher economic times, my wife and I feel it's money well spent.

Great job on the spring clean won them a regular cleaning deal with me. Good quality work is ongoing, and provided in a pleasant and courteous manner. On top of that it's so refreshing to find cleaners who give you an estimate that makes sense - in fact mine was less than I thought it would be and it's still a good job. Very pleased all round.

The clean was amazing and very thorough. In fact, I was so pleased I asked Jo and her team to clean my home on a regular basis. She is quick, unobtrusive and actually asks what I need doing. She brings her own cleaning materials and the house not only looks clean but smells clean! I am extremely satisfied with this young woman's attitude and her unique approach to her work.
