The work was done ontime, on budget and to a very high standard. I was kept informed as to what was going on and the work area was left clean and tidy on completion of the job. I am very satisfied with the work lee produced and would have absolutely no hesitation in asking he to do more work for me if required. Also I would be happy in recommending him to anyone else as a trustworthy builder.

I would recomend contrast construction to any one! I have used lee before to convert my garage to a bedroom and was very pleased with the end result so when we decided to have such a large job done it only made sense to contact him again.The work was carried out very efficently braving all weathers and completed in the time frame given. He also completed other jobs that arised as the project progress at short notice and we feel he went above and beyond what is expected of a normal builder to complete more than what was first asked to a superb specification.Thank you ever so much lee we now have a beautiful bunglow we are mored than pleased with the work and regularly receive compliments on the workmanship.

Very pleased with the final works the area was transformed and its like it has always been this way now. They done the work very quickly and efficiently. The work men were very friendly and polite. The payment was easy and relaxed. The boss visited on 2 occasions to check the progress and final work done. Very good company and would definitely use them again.

The first part of engaging a builder is the estimate, Lee Hawkins of Contrast Construction was not the cheapest, but it was the most detailed and best put together. He phoned twice to apologise for the delays while he did more research into the area and priced out all the materials for this not small project, this showed in his estimate. The build started on time and because of the position of the site it was a nightmare to get materials and skips to the site, but this they handled with minimal fuss. When building started I met Lee on site every day and we talked through any problems so I was always up to date on the build. Lee always had time to talk and as a true professional that he is makes you fill at ease in his company. The trades he brings onto site were all working to Lee's exacting standards. I especially enjoyed watching and talking to the carpenter and the plumbers, their work was a joy to behold. Not once on this build did I have any doubts as to whether I had made the right decision. Everyone that came to work on this site did their jobs in the best professional way, a real nice bunch of guys. Lee has a real love of his building work and this shows in many ways, his chose of materials, not on price but on quality, insures that he dose not waste his time or the clients by going over the same ground twice.. This was not a small project with an estimate in excess of £70,000, he came in at 3% over budget, but when you add on the changes I made and the extras I wanted he in fact came in under the original cost. The build started on time it would have finished on time but for the snow we had in December, no ones fault there then. I can truly say that in Lee I engaged the very best and I would recommend him and use him again without doubt. I have not only gained a builder but I have made a good friend.

Work was carried out to an exceptional level, from start to finish. Lee and his team removed the entire old bathroom, rewired all relevant electrics and re plumbed the necessary. Completely tiled the bathroom from floor to ceiling and fitted under floor heating. Very impressed with the both the quality of the work and the time it took....I have had plenty of complements on the bathroom's design, which was all down to the Contrast Construction team. These guys come very well recomended....and I'm a fussy individual!!

Lee provided the most detailed and clear illustration of the work ahead in his quote which instilled a great sense of confidence in his knowledge of the job ahead. The job included removing a chimney breast, installing supporting steels and rebuilding the supporting wall plus plastering to make good on new block work. The Contrast team were very friendly, considerate and experienced hands at what turned out to be a tricky and unpredictable job. Lee undertook all liaison with the council on my behalf in respect of building control. The job also involved additional sub-contractors in gas and electrics who were all excellent. Lee was not the cheapest of the quotes we sourced, neither was he the most expensive, but the quality of his workmanship has been truly excellent value for money and I would not hesitate in recommending him to anyone. Excellent customer service and a genuine, approachable and friendly person to deal with.
