Creative Living SE was set up by Mr K O'Neill to meet the demands of high quality work at a reasonable price, that is finished on time and within budget. Creative Living is a family run business with over 28 years experience. We specialise in carpentry and joinery, however all aspects of building work can be completed. Work is guaranteed and we are fully insured. Creative Living SE provide all building services from window repairs, door and work top replacements, to full refurbishments and conversions.

External door re-hung and new locks fitted
Ken provided a very reasonable quote for the work, turned up on time on the day we had arranged and completed it to a standard we were very happy with. He's polite and friendly, and we wouldn't hesitate to use him again for work at our house. A great find these days when many workmen overcharge and let you down.

Two new bedroom wardrobes
Having done added new ceiling joists and putting a new floor in our attic, we asked Ken to use his bespoke carpentry skills on a set of custom wardrobes. First Ken looked into why there was some water staining on the ceiling, and got onto the roof to check tiles and channels and resolve leaks. Then he checked ceiling cavities and repaired the ceilings. After that work begun very satisfactorily on the wardrobes, one for my husband and one for myself - to our specifications. Ken's workmanship is first class and now the work is complete they look great. Gone is all the bedroom clutter. Once again we would highly recommend Ken and will be sure to have him back when we need someone to look at our next project.

Replace two ceilings, roof joists and board out loft area. Fitting new dado rails.
Having hired Ken to fix our front door we asked him to look at another project in our home: putting a new floor/bigger access hatches into our attic. The existing ceiling joists needed replacing, and old ceilings taken out. This was completed with no fuss, great efficiency and minimum mess (considering the job). He hired a labourer and plasterer to help complete the job. Next we asked him to put a dado rail to suit our Victorian home through the hallways and up the staircase to the house. Ken is a great carpenter and this, again, was completed quickly and looks great. We are so happy we have asked him to construct a bespoke wardrobe system for our bedroom which he is currently working on.

Fixed fitting of front door, re routed washing machine waste
Ken did a great job of refitting our old Victorian front door which had dropped on its hinges and was seriously rotting on the bottom. W wanted to preserve the door rather than getting a new one. He did a great job of re-hanging the door and repositioning all of the locks so the door shuts with a click rather than a slam. While he was here I asked if he could re route our washing machine waste which he did to the other side of the house. I would recommend ken, he is reasonably priced and thoughtful person.
