David and Martin did a great job with out fallen ceiling. They were punctual, removed all rubbish generated from the removal of the old ceiling, and ensured our house was kept neat at all times. Dave was happy to come round and price up the job on the day I contacted him, he was very honest, came across completely professional and provided a competitive quote. On the day of the job Dave and his colleague turned up at the agreed time and worked continuously throughout the day. Dave is a real pleasure. His pricing is reasonable and his work is to a very high standard.. he's a real perfectionist. He boarded the ceilings in my bathroom and kitchen (which was previously 2 rooms), ensuring the levels were right. He also plastered both rooms. Unfortunately Dave had to call in sick on day 2 of the kitchen, but made it up to me by squeezing me in to his busy schedule and completing the job faster than anticipated. I will definitely use Dave again and would recommend him to anyone looking for good quality at reasonable prices.

We'd shortlisted four plastering tradesmen to provide quotes. Dave happened to be the first booked in. After meeting him and hearing his advice on how we could keep costs down, we just decided to cancel the other three appointments. On the day Dave arrived promptly and delivered the kind of workmanship that you might see in glossy trade brochures or a DIY programme on TV. He has left us feeling rather contented with what will probably be our daughter's bedroom. We'd expected to need to paper the walls but such is the quality of his workmanship we can paint the walls direct, which is an added bonus for our pocket. I could have scored Dave Gilbert straight 10's but we are going to retain his services so do not wish for him to become too busy! It can be so annoying when tradesman treat your house with disrespect but Dave was simply diligent in every aspect, vacuumed half the house at the end of the day and showed he was bothered about all aspects of service. I’d just like to say thank you to Dave for exceeding our expectations.

Mr.Gilbert is pleasant and helpful tradesman. Always ready to give advice or 'what if' quotes. He always arrived on time, didn't take tea breaks, and did a very good job. We had so much confidence in him after the first job (lounge) that when we had the extra job (bedroom) done later that week we just handed him the house keys. Plastering is a messy job, but he sheeted everywhere from the front door onwards and cleaned up everything and hoovered the carpets upon completion. Prices reasonable, service very good and standard of finish excellent given the damage that needed fixing. I would not hesitate to recommend him to customers.

I would recommend Dave without hesitation. His prices are very competitive and he does an excellent job without any fuss or drama. Whilst he couldn't make the original time for estimating work, he rang to apologise and rearrange. He explained what he'd have to do to repair the damage and warned me the work would create a lot of dust. He turned up exactly at the time he said he would and began to lay dust sheets down from the front door to the bedroom. It took him and his mate 3 and a half hours, but before they left they hoovered then explained how long it would take to dry out and when it would be OK to paint the new plaster. Very pleased, very polite, clean and a good price for the work done. I've already recommended them to a neighbour who needs some plastering in her bedroom.
