We were very pleased that we selected Darren Plumridge's company to rebuild our Church Path-- it is the main path, leading from the Lych Gate to the Church door, which is used for important occasions, notably Remembrance Sunday, Funeral processions and the joyful arrival of Brides at their weddings!. As a Chartered Landscape Architect I am used to working with contractors, and encounter some good ones, many who are OK and a few who are less good than that. I am please to be able to comment that Darren Plumdridge is in the "Very Good/Excellent" category, so we are glad we used his company on this important project. Plumridge's men were very efficient and pleasant, and dug out the old path to the correct depth without any reminders, and constructed the whole job with skill and attention to detail. They discussed with me the parts that needed decisions on site that I had not foreseen, so the job went smoothly, in a well-planned manner, which gave me peace of mind that the job was being built properly whether I was on site or not. Darren himself has been a paviour and has an extensive knowledge about landscape construction which he is happy to share. All in all, a good experience of working with Darren himself, a good experience on site, with good progress each day and good workmanship, and a very good job done, which should last and look good for the next 100 years of the church' s already well over 1000 year history.
