Removal of drain cover and building new inlaid cover.
Eighteen months ago Darren and his team helped design and lay a new patio for us. The work was so good and the team so pleasant that we asked them to improve another patio at the bottom of our garden while they were on site. Those were both a big job and a medium job. The latest was a very small job but all three were carried out efficiently, tidily and with consumate skill. We would strongly recommend D. Plumridge to anyone looking for help in designing or building patios or other garden works..

New driveway and stairs
We decided to go with Darren as he was friendly and obviously knows what he is talking about given the ideas he suggested we could do with the drive. The outcome of it all is a complete transformation. The team we had were superb (Dan and Jim) who worked hard and long hours. They are great guys and the work they did is truly commendable. Dan managed to dig away approx. 40 tonnes of rubble to get a base for the drive which is some going! The hardest part of the project was creating the stairs. The stairs from the doorway to the ground level was over 6 foot and so a lot of brickwork was needed. The way the stairs have been created along with the supporting walls look fabulous. The amount of work that was put in to give it a 'sweeping' look rather than a step look was incredible with literally each brick being cut at an angle to give a smooth sweeping look. Also the actual steps themselves were created in a wall to give a more creative look to them and again they look fantastic. Dan and Jim also created a couple of walls which would allow us to create some flower beds and again they created some brickwork that I had never seen or appreciated before. As our drive is angled upwards, the wall alongside the side of the wall would have to be built up level by level. Again, rather than creating a step to get to the next level, they created a roll-up which although took more time to create (the bricks had to be cut and angled) look far far better than the easy step way of doing it. It's hard to explain but there are pictures of this project on Darrens website which I strongly recommend you having a look at. All in all I am absolutely delighted with the work and I couldn't imagine what it would look like with all the rubble but now it has been completed, it is exactly how I wanted it. Highly recommend Darren and definitely Dan and Jim who are a great team and great guys with great skills.

Front driveway and landscaping

This is the second time that we have used Darren
The Team who completed our new driveway, brick wall and garden landscaping by using railway sleepers to create a tier effect were very friendly and reliable, and produced some high quality workmanship which more than met our specifications and expectations. We were kept informed throughout of progress and the job was finished on time despite some bad weather. I have no hesitation in recommending Darren and his Team to other people.

Driveway walling and Drainage
We would absolutely 100% recommend Darren and his team for any driveway work. We had a number of quotations from leading companies in the area and finally chosed to go with Plumridge which, in retrospect, was a great decision. Darren’s team did our driveway 4 months ago and despite positive recommendations, they still managed to surpass our expectations! During the whole process they were most professional in every way and did a fantastic job on time, working in a very tidy, polite and organised fashion. During the planning stage of the driveway design they offered excellent advice and were very flexible with our wishes and requirements. We also had new walling and kerbing built which Darren’s team completed to a very high standard. They used high quality material and the final result speaks for itself. Choose Plumridge and don’t look back.......it’s the best decision you will make.

Patio area, courtyard area and a path around the side of the house
We selected Darren on the basis of his obvious knowledge and experience in building patios and after viewing photographs of work he had completed, we felt he had a real skill in getting the finishing touches right. Darren and his team built for us a patio area, a courtyard area with sandstone planters and a water feature, and a path around the side of the house. We are thoroughly delighted with the end result. Darren delivered exactly what he said he would. All the materials used were high quality and the whole project was well organised and professionally run. Darren improved on our initial design by cleverly adding cobbles which considerably enhanced the finished product. Darren’s team worked long days and got on with the job. Overall the project was completed sooner than we expected. Throughout the project Darren and his team were always professional, friendly and polite. Dan who was on site every day was always courteous, very easy to work with and highlighted any issues that came up so they could be dealt with quickly. The team also tidied up after themselves and washed the patio down at the end of the job. After sales service has been excellent. On two occasions, after the main job was completed, I called Darren when some bespoke pieces of wood arrived and both times Darren was round that same day fitting the wood for us. We would confidently recommend Darren and his team. Thank you Darren and team for a job extremely well done!

Natural stone block drive
Darren was very helpful with discussing what I wanted done and selecting the type of stone blocks I wanted. He was also very flexible when I had to delay work due to other building works I had going on. The job was done on time and his guys were polite, helpful with any questions I had and did a great job.
