We got 3 quotes to do work wanted and DS Renovations came out at a fair price in the middle of the 3. To start with Dan gave us some great design ideas for the kitchen lay out where the others just quoted what they thought we wanted. This showed us from the start that Dan enjoys what he does. On day one the old kitchen was taken out and the wall between our kitchen and dining room was knocked through. We'd been told by others that this would be fine but upon taking the wall out Dan was unsure so the next morning had a surveyor come round and a report was written up that day to say we need a steal in the ceiling. We couldn't believe how quickly he'd managed to sort it out and get the steal in (3 days) with little extra cost. Everything was done bang on time, bang on budget by a great team from Dan's demolition to the floor layers fine finish we're really happy.

Dan and his team did a superb job installing our new bathroom. Their experience and enthusiasm meant that every aspect of the work went smoothly; even when our supplier delivered the wrong bath Dan sorted it out for us himself. As other customers have said, they are a pleasure to have around and very tidy. Dan kept us informed of progress throughout the project and dealt with any issues promptly and effectively. I selected DS Renovations on the recommendation of my neighbour - always the best referral route - and I am delighted I did. All aspects of the work have been genuinely, surprisingly impressive. Starting with getting to grips with what I wanted, Dan was patient, helpful, guiding but not pushy and very, very knowledgeable about options ... the quotes that then arrived were competitive, and we agreed when and how the work would be done. The work started, Dan oversees it all, supported by a small but skilled team. All finished on time, within budget, no fuss at all ... they even hoovered. For a very limited budget, the bathroom looks great ... but the key reason why I will use DS for the rest of the flat is simply that the team, without exception, are nice to do with business with ... they know what they're doing and have a real ability to explain things clearly and not make you feel like an idiot ... that level of "trust" is absolutely invaluable if you're keen, as I was, to simply say "over to you" ... excellent

All the work was completed to a very high standard by Dan and his team. All ,members of the team turned up on time, did their part of the job very efficiently and coordinated well with Dan to ensure there were no problems and nothing was overlooked. All team were very professional and most were quite kind on the eye, which was an additional bonus. It would be really hard to find fault with Dan and his team. All the work was carried out quickly and efficiently and everyone involved was hard-working, friendly and polite. The bathroom and kitchen look great and were installed quickly and with a minimum of fuss, despite extensive DIY bodging by the previous owner. When we discovered our floor had been much more severely affected by woodworm than our building survey had suggested, they were quick to rally round and had the whole floor and joists replaced in days. Highly recommended.

Dan and his team at DS Renovations are a real find. Professional, highly skilled, and always arriving with a 'can-do' attitude. We booked them in for a two and half week bathroom refurbishment but they were with us for five, for the simple reason that we kept finding new things for them to do! They nursed us through what was, at times, a very nervy process in which we changed our minds about elements of the refurbishment remaining cheerful and friendly throughout. We are totally thrilled with our brilliant new bathroom, bedroom and cloakroom and would use this company again at the drop of a hat.

Dan undertook a total overhaul of my kitchen and bathroom over the summer, gutting the existing rooms and installing new to a truly high standard of workmanship. Dan always offered solutions rather than raising problems. Friendly, approachable, considerate and polite, he always listened to my opinions, kept me fully informed throughout on the progress of the job, and spoke in plain English rather than in jargon. I would absolutely have no hesitation in having Dan in again to do more work, or in recommending him to friends (in fact, I already have!)

An excellent job carried out in a tight space. The job was well coordinated among the various workmen (plumber, tiler, electrician . . .), all of whom were a delight to have around, and they also sorted out the dodgy central heating. Will definitely use them again. Highly recommended!

The plumbing in our converted flat was a nightmare and posed many problems, as did some items from a supplier, but Dan always found a solution and still honoured his original quote. Where separate work was necessary, the reason and cost were clearly explained and our agreement obtained beforehand. Dan remained remarkably cheerful and positive throughout, and he and his team were a pleasure to have around. It seemed that nothing was too much trouble and they really went the extra mile to ensure that everything was exactly as we wanted it. They obviously have a wealth of experience and their workmanship and finishing was excellent. We are really excited with the result and are so pleased we chose them.

This is the second project that Dan and his team have carried out for us at our flat in the past 6 months - once again they did not disappoint! We moved out for a week or so at the start to allow demolition and clearance work to progress quickly and by the time we came back we had new walls and much of the plumbing up and running. We were kept well informed with progress and when decisions had to be made the options were very clearly explained to us. The end results are stunning - we have fabulous new kitchen and bathroom spaces with top quality finishes that are a pleasure to use. Dan's team are great to have around and we would happily recommend them to anyone looking for a top job to be done.

This is the second project that Dan and his team have done for me - having done my bathroom 2 years ago, there was only one company I was going to go to for the kitchen. It was a (very!) complicated project but any difficulties were dealt with, with very little impact on me, the timing or the quote. The end result is stunning and I couldn't be happier. Dan is an honest quoter, he is extremely good with communicating any problems that may crop up and clearly will set out your options and is always open to questions. There are no hidden extras. The quality of the workmanship was very good. I had my kitchen redone and a new doorway put in place as well as sorting out some very old damp problems. He is also able to give you very good prices on materials with his trade discounts. I have had many other renovations done on other properties but Dan and his team stand out way above anyone else. Highly recommended.

Dan and his team (especially Paul C) have done a fantastic job refurbishing and maximising the potential of our previously very cramped shower room. By adjusting stud walls, fitting a sliding pocket door, installation of a much enlarged shower tray, cutting into a cast iron soil stack (to allow a fully plumbed WC instead of a macerator - hooray!), replacing all old pipe work, fitting appropriately sized units and fully tiling the walls and floor we now have a shower room we can enjoy being in. They may not be the cheapest out there, but their attention to detail and determination to leave us 100% satisfied with their work was refreshing. We are extremely pleased with the end result and would have no hesitation in recommending DS Renovations.

I had a complex job to remove a structural wall and hide the steel in the floor above, which required engineering, carpentry and general building knowledge. I know the building trade very well, having carried out a number of developments. On meeting Dan, and after a number of estimates (many from head scratching builders), D S Renovations was my choice. Straightforward, knowledgeable, polite friendly, enthusiastic, top quality job and reasonably priced. Even the Building Inspector from the council was impressed. I am getting Dan and his team back early next year to fit 3 bathrooms. I honestly cannot recommend DS Renovations highly enough !

Dan and the team did a wonderful job on the installation of my new kitchen which involved plastering, decorating, electrical work etc. All of the guys (especially Chris, who did most of the work )were very polite, kept me informed at all times, and were happy to answer my questions etc. I was happy to leave them in my house alone. I cannot recommend this team of workmen highly enough, from the smallest details, help with designing the kitchen. I changed my mind on small things but it was not a problem. Dan took the time during the estimating to explain a number of options for parts of the work and provided a quote breakdown within just a few days. During the works the guys always ensured they left minimal mess at the end of the day, and took care to keep the communal areas of my flat block clean and tidy which was greatly appreciated by the other residents. Having never previously used Dan and his team I was extremely impressed with the work carried out. They were prompt, efficient and most importantly decent, trustworthy blokes whom I was very happy to leave to complete the work without needing to be there. The work was completed to a high standard and came in exactly on the quote given. It is worth saying that I had separate trades (electrician, plasterer and kitchen fitter) come in and quote prior to getting Dan to come. I expected Dan's quote to be slightly higher as he was taking all the scheduling of works off my hands but in fact he proved marginally cheaper. Having Dan's team do the work has made a potentially griefy job very easy.

A really good find in a minefield of contractors, I have been very happy with the standard of his work, his advise in planning the kitchen and the professional way he organised things for me. I would use him again and would have no hesitation in recommending him to my friends.

Dan fitted a new kitchen for us last summer, the work was first class. What you see is what you get with Dan, an extremely pleasant man for whom nothing was too much trouble. He is very reliable and obviously took a pride in his work. We would certainly use his services again.
