Dave recently came and completed 5 days work for us as part of our house renovation. We were extremely pleased with his work. He gave us a written itemised quote to begin with, charged a lower amount for something when it took him less time than he had anticipated and most of all completed everything to a very high quality of craftmanship. We are already planning what he can do next for us and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

We employed David to undertake a complete refurbishment of the upstairs of our house over a ten week period starting end January. He was punctual, reliable and completed the work to the highest of standards. He was helpful and suggested solutions to problem areas that we hadn't thought of ourselves. The refurbishment involved taking down several internal walls upstairs, reconfiguring the layout to increase and maximise the space, creation of a new shower room and separate bathroom. All work was of an excellent standard and we found David a thoroughly nice person to have in our home. Highly recommended to all.

Dave is an amazing carpenter, and went beyond the call of duty in this job. Just as important, he is a really nice guy, and very trustworthy. We fully recommend him. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He was a quiet and polite worker, and we enjoyed having him around. The work he did was first class.

David performed a variety of jobs in our home - including the building of various cupboards, laying several areas of paving slabs, laying new flooring and fitting new internal doors throughout. From the outset, he kept us fully informed in relation to materials and the order in which the works would be performed. What's more, he was willing to adapt and amend the order of work in order to deal with our questions and changes that we requested (away from the original specifications). He's hardworking and trustworthy and we felt happy to leave him in our house when we were not there. The job took slightly longer than anticipated, but David kept us updated throughout, and the work was finished to a high standard, which made the wait worthwhile. In addition, David was also amongst the most competitive of the numerous quotes we received. That, coupled with the fact that from the outset we were assured that he fully understood our requirements and that he is a genuinely nice guy, meant that he was an obvious choice for us.

Knocked together living and dining room and swapped over the functions of both rooms. Structural work including the removal of a chimney breast and installing 2 RSJs. Also, installed 2 sets of French doors, new kitchen and engineered oak floor. Lastly, coordinated all the other trades including electrician, plumber and plasterer.

I can't recommend Dave Ingram highly enough. He arrives when he says he will (all my neighbours were very impressed seeing the van arrive at 8am every morning), works very hard and to a very high standard, and all the sub-contractors he uses are chosen for having the same traits. Dave is highly skilled and a great communicator and the project flowed very smoothly and was remarkably stress-free because of this. Dave has transformed our hideous kitchen and pokey dining room into a calm, serene and beautifully flowing space that the whole family can enjoy.

Dave knocked out a few internal walls and doors to create an open living space and re-skimmed walls and ceilings. All the work was done when he said it would be and to the price he quoted. Even when we ran into unexpected electrical problems he helped by bringing in an electrician to overcome them. I would recommend Dave for any work.

Dave was extremely quick in providing a very reasonable quote, which he stuck to, and flexible and accommodating in attending to carry out the work and working around other tradespeople. His standard of work is top-notch as well as quick, with a preference towards building high-quality custom fittings etc. Rather than just slapping in whatever's available to buy. He is imaginative and flexible in thinking up solutions to problems, and was happy to modify them where I had particular preferences. He also proved to be dependable and a goldmine of information and advice. For example, when I desperately asked him to come up with a way of blocking up a fireplace ready for painting with no notice at all, he had plaster boarded the lot within hours, on top of everything else he had planned for the day. I will certainly use his services again, and have no hesitation in highly recommending him.

Bringing with him his own ideas and experience as to how best to execute the job, he removed much of the stress of any job by keeping questions to a minimum and getting on with he task in hand. We’ve had David round to our flat to do a number of different jobs and his craftsmanship and professionalism have always been excellent. Most recently he built two bookcase/ cupboards into alcoves in our living room and re-hung some folding French doors. His craftsmanship was excellent as usual -the bookcases look great and were exactly what we asked for. He also reversed some French doors to suit the new configuration of the room and brought them back into full working condition which they weren't before. As usual his rates are competitive, he is excellent at keeping us updated with what’s going on and he even tidies up after himself at the end of the day – we cannot recommend him highly enough.

Really good job. Dave worked quick and efficiently and seemed to understand our brief well. Kids liked him which was a bonus. He was flexible too to come back and complete the job after our holiday. We now have a further requirement for the job and Dave seems happy to come back and complete that for us too. Would happily recommend him. He definitely wasn't the cheapest quote that we got but we felt that he really understood our brief well so were happy to give him the job.

Dave was fantastic and I'd highly recommend him. From the very beginning his communication was excellent, he returned calls or emails quickly and was always on time. We were particularly impressed with his craftsmanship as we wanted a slightly unusual curved feature on our deck and Dave was the only builder that had no concerns about delivering what we wanted, and the finished product is exactly what we wanted (in fact it's even better). He was also competitively priced.

One word - PHENOMENAL! Actually, I could add impeccable, honest, hard-working, efficient, flexible and a host of admirable qualities to describe the exemplary job Dave undertook on the renovation of my flat. I don't want to raise other people's expectations so high that Dave will forever be struggling to match them but I've got to say that hit the jackpot with hiring Dave to do much of the work in my flat. Estate agents just came to do a rental and sales valuation of my flat and both used the term - PRISTINE - to describe it. Saying it was the perfect property in our area and they made special note of many of the elements that Dave directly worked on. In-built floor-to-ceiling wardrobe that was wowed at by the agents, sturdy custom-fit tv shelving unit which will be extremely attractive to buyers or tenants, new super-sturdy wall structure with excellent sound insulation for our bedroom (in-filling area where bi-folding doors were), new bedroom and kitchen doors hung perfectly level and aligned, perfect fitting of kitchen units and creation of new cupboard, excellent fitting of new skirting, new extractor hood, new kitchen work tops etc etc. Dave's attention to detail was impeccable - not even the smallest aspect of the work was left unattended and he never shirked from putting in extra effort to make a perfect final product. Dave was also incredibly accommodating with every aspect of his work and very reasonable when it came to extra jobs I needed doing. In the middle of the renovation, my wife gave birth to our first child and Dave was incredibly understanding and accommodating with helping me complete the works, going so far as to provide me invaluable help with managing other contractors who came for other jobs like tiling, electrical, plastering and painting. My wife and newborn son and I have a stunning almost as-new renovation of our flat with some phenomenal new features that Dave created and installed.
