I cannot recommend Darren enough. He was recommended to us by a friend who had some work done on their house. He came and quoted us for the work as arranged and then was able to start when he said he would. He gave a competitive price and because of this and his excellent customer focus and communication became our choice. He completed the work pretty much within the time he said he would. A few things threw up a few problems which can only be expected sometimes, but he worked long hours to ensure the work was completed and did a follow up visit to finalise the work as agreed. We are very please and would not hesitate to use him again or recommend to friends.

Better than expected! Darren installed a new porch light, wired up to a PIR. He was able to link it up to an existing switch, which I had been led to believe from another electrician that had come to look that it couldn't easily be done. He took extra care to ensure that all the wiring was hidden. Perfect job, I'd say. Darren also tested my system and noticed that my earth connection wasn't as good as it could have been, and recommended that I contact UK Power Networks to have them review the system (since it is their responsibility). As a result a new earth connection was later installed by them. No hesitation to recommend Darren, and will definitely use him again.

We were very happy with the work. Darren was always happy to discuss the work and explain any questions we had. When we asked him to re-fit a light fitting because we had forgotten to paint the ceiling above it he didn't bat an eyelid. We would certainly recommend him.

Darren took the time to give advice when required. He explained everything that needed to be done and what it entailed. He was polite, friendly and stayed on in the evenings until each stage was finished, keeping the disruption to a minimum. We were happy to leave Darren with a set of keys to the property when we went on holiday. I would recommend him to anyone, including my elderly mother without hesitation. He took no short cuts and used top quality products (for example the hard wired smoke alarms and consumer unit).All the work was done to a high standard . We were also impressed with the professionalism of the safety certificates. These were laminated, a fantastic bonus as they will not become dogeared over the 5 years in this rental property.

It can be hard to find an electrician you can trust, but I would have no hesitation in recommending Darren Hardy to anyone. He is reliable, the quality of his work is excellent and you get the feeling he loves his job. Darren carried out a full landlords electrical safety test for us, as well as subsequently fitting a new fuse box to comply with the new electrical regulations which came out in July 2008.

This was an emergency which we needed fixing that day. Mr Hardy was busy on other jobs during the daytime, but agreed to call by early evening to see what could be done.
