As has been reported, David was courteous, prompt and professional with his scheduling and manner. He called to provide notice before he arrived which is quite helpful when organising to meet. Once arrived, again, courteous and professional. Service was slightly shorter than expected but that can be put down to a good boiler. All in all, would recommend services.

Really pleased with the helpful and speedy response to my call when my hot water tank was leaking. The quote was excellent and all work was carried out efficiently and to a high standard. Due to incorrect installation done by another plumber my hot and cold water supply had been switched around in the upstairs shower, this meant DJ Dean had to unscrew shelving in a cupboard to get to the problem, which he did with little fuss, and sorted the problem. My downstairs shower was not receiving hot water and he managed to get to the problem of that, a tap that had not been tightened in the loft. On his way out I asked if he could take a quick look at my washing machine which he did without hesitation and made an adjustment which means it's working properly. I now have two working showers, with maximum power and the ability to get a perfect temperature! I can't thank DJ enough, he comes out whenever I call him, usually on the day, sorts the problem, or assesses the situation and comes back at a time convenient for you, punctual, friendly, sticks to his quote, no mess.....if only all trades people were like him.

Are boiler stopped working this morning. My flat mate found David through Checkatrade, he was first on the list. We contacted him and he said he could come over in the afternoon. He phoned when he said he would, turned up in the early afternoon, as I said this would be best for me and was incredibly polite and friendly when he arrived. David knew what the problem was pretty much straight away, had the right part to fix it in his van and fixed the boiler within half an hour of arriving at the flat. Consequently, I have been able to enjoy my night in, in warmth!! We are so grateful for the fantastic and efficient job he did, at a totally reasonable price- very competitive. He deserves your custom and we will definitely ask David to come back in the summer to service the boiler, although he did a free, quick once over, whilst he was here. Highly recommend him and am very grateful to this website!

Excellent response time, very helpful in pointing out the problem and how to rectify it. Boiler was functioning 5 mins after arrival, problem was due to poor installation by the original installers. Have decided to get DJ Dean to rectify the work permanently instead of going back to the "cowboys" who originally fitted the boiler.

Work started Monday, up and running Tuesday evening, making good done Wednesday morning quick efficient installation with the minimum of disruption due to a sensible logical work plan. This was the only quote that did not use existing pipe work and boiler location which was in poor condition and energy wasting. Even with re-routing the water supply his quote was very competitive and in view of the energy saving long-term he got the job. The scores of 10 are not an oversight, they are merited.

We had all our old micro-bore central heating pipework replaced along with new radiators. Also had 1 radiator relocated and a new one added in the hall. We also had the cold water pipe from the tank replaced as that was leaking. We are very pleased with the work done and with the tidiness of the pipework etc. Very competitive quote. Would recommend.

Having recovered from the shock of a British Gas quotation we used Checkatrade to identify a suitable heating engineer to carry out the work described. We called David and he turned up the same day at the appointed hour (a weekend) to provide a free estimate of the costs and work involved (not much more than half that quoted by BG.) David was knowledgeable, friendly and polite, giving us the confidence to use his firm to carry out the work. We had a written quotation within 48 hours and arranged a date for the work to be done. David, this time with his brother Nick, also a qualified plumber, turned up on the day at about 7.45 and got straight on with the job of removing the old boiler and then flushing and cleaning the system prior to fitting the new boiler. Considering the flushing of the system was the most time consuming aspect of the task I was, quite frankly, amazed when they were ready to depart at 2pm having completed and tested the new system. This was not a rush job, it was just that they got on with what was required without the need for copious breaks. There was an element of simplicity in that the old boiler had a rear flue and the new (smaller) one a top flue so they were able to utilise the existing hole through the wall, however that did not detract from what was an excellent job. For info, the new boiler is a Worcester Bosch which is so quiet we sometimes wonder where all the 'magic' hot water is coming from!! I would certainly recommend David Dean (and Nick!) to anyone considering similar work and would like to thank them here for a great job.

Turned up on time and was polite and professional. Some issue with his use of a refuse collection agent as well. I ended up having the Tree Fellas take away the remains but accept he was let down.

As our boiler died christmas day, and l phoned him Tuesday 30th Dec, he came quoted a price better than British Gas, advised that he had to order new boiler and was not sure if it was being delivered the next day or two days later, phoned me back later same day and said they could do the work 2 days later.. great guy knew his job and cleaned up afterwards, no complaints from me and have recommended him to a couple of work mates already..

Boiler service was fine, no problems. Both taps still leaked after being replaced. David was very good about sending someone round promptly to remedy the job, but the engineer found that one of the taps hadn't been tightened up properly -- the slow drip had soaked a bathroom cupboard, ruined the carpet and a lot of the contents... Not what I needed!

Long standing problem of a leak somewhere behind a wall/under floor. After investigating (by chipping into walls, removing skirting, pulling up floorboards) finally located leak under raised floor (below shower) in another room! As soon as the leak was found, it was repaired very quickly. David and Nick were very courteous, arrived on time (on both occasions) and carried the work out quickly. Very good price. I would have no hesitation in recommending them.
