Domestic Electrical Services was started by Glenn to provide home owners with a high quality and Part P compliant electrical service covering all works from changing a plug to a full re-wire or consumer unit upgrade. Work will be completed safely and to a very high standard with full respect given to the customer, their property and home. Work will be planned in order that any disruption is kept to an absolute minimum.

Domestic Electrical Services will undertake work in Portsmouth, Southsea, Havant and Fareham; but will however cover all of Hampshire and West Sussex. Domestic Electrical Services have on occasions travelled further afield and completed works on recommendation for existing customer’s friends and families in Oxford and Norwich.

Glenn is fully qualified to the latest IEE Regulations (17th Edition BS7671:2008) and an approved NICEIC Domestic Installer allowing Part P Self Certification.

Emergency work on main electrical board

Attended quickly late in the evening. Secured everything and then came back a few days later to fit part that had been ordered. Good workmanship and reliable. Very reasonable price.

New consumer unit and shower pull switch

Although the original job was the shower pull switch we knew we needed a new consumer unit. Glenn confirmed this but we did not feel at all pressured to have the work done. We decided to have the jobs done and they were both carried out promptly and thoroughly. He explained everything that he had done and ran through what switches operated what with us (although he had labelled everything anyway). Unfortunately the shower switch was faulty and the next day I rang him and he came straight back to rectify it. Glenn is very polite, tidy and explains everything very clearly. I will definately use his services again in the future and would happily recommend to others.

Upgrading fuseboard to a Consumer Unit

Glen arrived early for the quotation, emailed me the price promptly and emailed me back when I asked him questions about the work. He fitted the new consumer unit, tested it, and fixed other wiring problems around the house all for the original price. Would recommend to others.

Installed outside security light

Very pleased with the work. Took longer than expected because of some problems with the circuits/fuse board but Glenn found a solution and didn't charge any more for the extra time.
