We are now MCS approved installers for Solar Hot Water and Solar Photovoltaic Electric Systems, therefore anyone having a system installed by us will be able to apply for the renewable heat payment grant for Hot Water Systems and the feed in tariff for the Photovoltaic Electric Systems as well as getting free hot water and electric .
As a company we have been established in the Brighton and Hove area for over 25 years, providing unparalleled customer service that only a family owned and run business can. We pride ourselves on being 100% reliable, tidy, respectful and professional at all times.

Our service shop mainly focuses on the services that we provide and an overview of products that we can offer. Feel free to come in and discuss and queries that you may have or to book in any services you require, you'll find one of the family are happy to help you.
Our bathroom showroom, new in early 2010, focuses mainly on bathroom products that we can provide. We supply a massive range of products, and with a lot of products on display you can get a feel of what the quality is like before you purchase. 
We are one of the only companies in Brighton and Hove that not only offer to supply the products but actually fit them ourselves as well. This means that you can talk to the engineer that would be coming to your house to fit the items for you. You will get professional industry advice and the best products for you!

Boiler Repair
Call out to a non working boiler, Dorrington said that a gas valve needed changing. The engineer said when he went to fit the part that the boiler should be replaced. We agreed and excepted the quote. A deposit was paid and the work was carried out Dorringtons said they would refund the cost of the gas valve,they did, but they did not deduct the labour even though the part was not fitted. I feel the problems with the boiler should have been diagnosed on the first call out as the call out charge was paid.

Response from Dorrington Plumbing & Heating:
Received call from the customer on 30th Dec 2013, called out to no heating/hot water. Call out fees/terms advised to customer. Found gas valve faulty and advised customer. Received authorisation to replace, part was ordered. Returned 2nd Jan 2014 and fitted new gas valve. Upon test found appliance un-operational. Due to water in sealed main heat exchanger. After discussions with the customer agreed new boiler and that we would refund the cost of gas valve itself. We gave the customer exceptional service, moving work to enable us to complete this job. We received a phone call from the customer thanking us after the works were completed. The gas valve (part) was refunded to the customer on his boiler installation invoice. The customer paid his invoice deducting the labour for the gas valve work. After a discussion with the customer we agreed to waiver the labour charge re: gas valve works. Sadly the customer felt the need to involve Checkatrade and Trading Standards rather than trying to resolve the matter with us. We always work in the very best interest of our customers.
