Re-vamp small kitchen.
I was disappointed with the colour advice given, it has been too over powering and dark for such a small area.

Response from Dream Doors (Lincoln):
The door colour is Alabaster, the lightest we do. The worktop is a mid shade (Butterum)which gives a good contrast but is not too dark. However, the matching splash-back to 2 sides has a definitely darker effect than the white wall-tile which was there before. There can be a conflict between too light a worktop and door combination, giving no contrast and looking weak and pallid, or too dark which can be overpowering. These issues were discussed at the time of ordering and the overriding concern was ease of cleaning, hence changing the wall-tiles to splash-backs. The initial change can sometimes (although rarely in my experience) be a little daunting and I hope the effect grows on the customer with time. The same combination is in our showroom in a darker area with little natural or electric light source and is still a popular choice with a lot of our customers.
