“We where told that the cupboard doors would be fitted 1/2/16 but were not fitted until 19/2/16 .The nine cupboard doors we paid £2,001 for are not wide enough. They are substandard with gaps and some do not cover the edges of the actual cupboards.”

– Customer in Mablethorpe ( 1 ) 2 March 2016
Response from Dream Doors (Lincoln):
We agree with the customer with regard to the fit date being altered. However, we did explain to the customer at the time of ordering that this might be the case. The doors they ordered were solid Timber and past experience with this type of door, has shown that the delivery of the doors may change because they are hand made.
The job was completed on the 19th February 2016 and the customer signed our completion / satisfaction document, so when the Checkatrade report came through on the 2nd March we were somewhat surprised. If they had informed us that they were not happy, we would have attended to their concerns immediately, as customer satisfaction is very important to us. With regard to the door sizes. The doors are the correct size, doors are measured precisely 4mm under the regulated size, otherwise they would not operate correctly this is standard throughout the industry.
Because their own white carcases had not been edge-banded this threw the darker wooden door into relief.
As soon as we went to inspect the job, we advised that the carcasses should be edge-banded in the same colour as the doors. Once this was done, naturally the overall appearance changed completely.
