Hi my name is Martin and thank you for clicking on this page to find out more information about ELEC4U, I have been in the electrical industry for 26 years (4 year apprenticeship and 22 years as a fully  qualified electrician) and am what is known as a "Genuine time served" electrician and also hold a joint industry board gold card with the higher grade of approved electrician over the standard electrician grade.

I set up ELEC4U in 2011 deciding to work  primarily in the domestic/small commercial sector rather than helping to run large electrical contracts in the city due to wanting to work locally (being a new father) and I found that personally it was more rewarding helping customers improve their homes/small businesses and still enjoy this aspect of my work to this day, I provide professional advice to the DIY'er and my existing customers know they can always contact me for an answer to any questions they have, be it they are in a DIY store checking information about a light they have chosen to asking if a quote a friend has for electrical work is too expensive.

A brief list of work that I cover are fuse board changes, socket points, lighting points, fault finding and rectification, inspection reports (for landlords and those wishing to buy a property and need to know if the house needs rewiring), extra circuits, smoke alarms, bathroom electrics, kitchen electrics and full and partial rewires.

I cover many other types of electrical work not listed above as well as giving professional advice for those wishing to carry out the work themselves along with the correct guidelines for notification to building control.

Being a sole trader I find I can take the time to fit around peoples working lives when carrying out works rather a larger electrical contractor with employees whom possibly work only during the week and I do not increase my rate for working at the weekend.

I am fully Insured and am registered through the NICEIC.
