This front extension was built quickly, effeciently and finnished to a high standard, incorporating our ideas such as a wonderful internal archway that links the new build with our existing building. Many thanks again to Edd and his hard working team. We are very pleased with the work.

Overall we are pleased with the work that Edd and the team put in and the finished article. It could have been slightly better with some respects by clear articulation of what was required by ourselves or knowing what Edd would be doing that day in more detail. We are happy with the outcome.

Mr veck is very reliable, the work was done on the timescale he said it would be, nothing was to much trouble , I was very impressed with my bathroom, will defienatley use mr veck again.

Eddie and his team took on a fairly substantial two storey extension for us creating a large double garage and bedroom with ensuite above. A fairly considerable job by any standards, work progressed at a fantastic rate and was always left secure and tidy. A good standard of finishes with doors/windows throughout and a large hand cut roof with sturdy sized timbers over normal was built. Upon completion we had Eddie carry out landscaping and create a new driveway for us, all done to a good standard and on budget.

Having just moved into a house not touched for 30 years, I obviously have a lot of work ahead of me. I was looking for a local builder to carry out some initial works to improve security and aesthetics of the house. Mr Veck couldn't come recommended enough and a quick search on check a trade suggested he was right for me. Eddie initially replaced rotten windows and doors around the house with incredibly good quality upvc items and more recently we have had Eddie chop out two window openings to fit two pairs of patio doors. He is always punctual, always courteous and incredibly tidy both through work and upon completion. I have no hesitation at continuing to use Eddie when ever possible, he has some great ideas and is always flexible enough to fit in around my shift patterns.

Edd was very helpful and made some really good suggestions throughout the project. His ideas helped us keep the costs down and we are so pleased with our new look house. Edd was in touch throughout and went out of his way to help with issues even those that fell outside of the contract. All the contractors were friendly, polite and trustworthy which was reassuring. The second part of the build was done quickly with Edd fitting us in between other work, as agreed. At the end of the project up to planning sign off Edd has been available to deal with final snagging points. We are really grateful to Edd that our house now has the wow factor we were looking for.

After the severe weather Friday night our shed had lost it's roof and damaged the fence and window. Eddie sent one of his lads round (because he was in France) on Saturday morning. We presumed he was just going to do a temporary weekend fix but in spite of the weather he managed to find and fit another double glazed unit, re-roofed the shed and fully repaired the fence. Eddie insisted it was done to help us out and I should just give the tradesman a "drink". Thank you Eddie.

Response from EPV Building:
This customer was advised we could not do the works until November 2010; however they were happy for us to do odd days to get the work completed for them. As always dust sheets and plastic covering was used and the works were carried out professionally. I did ask for an independent builder to inspect the work carried out but this was refused. This customer also had a reduction in cost as they were reluctant to pay.

We're really pleased with the finished product. The cost was more than quoted due to unexpected issues in the refurbishment and change of requirements. Very courteous, polite and professional. Plasterers did a fantastic job and kept the place clean. EPV were accommodating and fitted us in between jobs, with the weather, it meant a 3 weeks lasted about 7 weeks. However, they had stressed up front that we would be fitted in and around jobs, so the elapsed time could be longer. They kept us informed.

Our old garden door collapsed suddenly (damp, rot etc). Rang Eddie and within the week a replacement door was sourced and fitted complete with cat flap and security locks. As usual Eddie kept us informed of timings so we knew where we were. Great to have a builder like him in your area.

Another great job by Eddie and his team. A section of a brick retaining wall had cracked. The boys cut out a large section and rebuilt it with new bricks. They spotted a potential problem with a smaller section nearby and dug out repointed it at no extra charge. The only complaint is that he is now so busy we had to wait nearly a week for them to start the job.

Eddy was very helpful in advising us on the provision of a down stairs washroom and toilet, in our garage. We were able to select certain units our selves and Eddy incorporated them into the washroom. Eddy was very obliging in this and other ways which was of mutual benefit to us and also the finished job which is now working well.

Despite difficulties due to snow and below zero temperatures plus mistakes made by the double glazing supplier, Eddie kept the whole project moving and finished well in time for Christmas. His communications during these problems were excellent so we always knew what was happening. It was impressive to see the work going on in freezing temperatures. He runs a good team and he rolls his sleeves up and leads from the front.

Garage was converted to an open main room with a separate shower, toilet and basin and hall area. Water needed to be taken to garage from the main house and a Saniflow system to be installed for the toilet, electric shower and basin (which required an additional electric heater). New flooring was installed in the hall and shower room. Down lights throughout. The whole building was insulated, plaster boarded and then plastered. Final touches included coving, skirting boards and architraves. Work estimated to take 4-5 weeks. Ended on schedule at 5 weeks. I have dealt with many tradesmen in the past and have to say, Eddie Veck is very genuine, trustworthy and comes up with the goods. He certainly strives to make sure that the customer is always happy even to the point of adding in freebies (like building an extra cupboard, repointing a major crack in a wall etc.) His quote was not the cheapest but you do get value for money. Another plus is that the tradesmen he contracts work out to... in this case the plasterers and electrician were all excellent!

Eddie takes great pride in developing a strong customer relationship and went out of his way to help on numerous occasions. He was extremely patient and flexible as we changed our design specification several times before and after work had begun. EPV were far cheaper than other quotes and gave excellent value for money. Eddie included lots of added extras but still honoured the original quoted price. We would definately use EPV building again. Thank you Eddie.
