Excellent work by friendly, well trained and informative staff. This was a major piece of installation work with relocation and replacement of boiler, gas supply and system pipes with replacement radiator valves and thermostats. It was carried out on time and at the estimated price (which was itself very competitive).

Attended same day. Needed replacement part and initially said it would be next day. When I said I was not keen to be without heating and hot water overnight, the engineer made a phone call and managed to source the required part, went away to collect it and came back to fit it an hour later! Helpful and friendly service. Would use again.

Woke in sub-zero temperatures to discover central heating boiler had broken. Searched Checkatrade to find a reputable local company to complete the repair as a mater of urgency (wife suffers from Rheumatoid Arthritis). First Call quoted a price and said an engineer would be with me that afternoon. 12:30 he arrived, immediately diagnosed the problem and, within an hour, had the boiler back and working! No one likes an unexpected repair bill but very impressed with the professionalism and service from First Call Heating. Would not hesitate to recommend them and will use them for any future work.

I decided to ask First Call Heating Ltd to carry out our work on the basis of the service I received from the very start of the process. Not only did Jez provide a competitive quote very quickly but he was happy to come back out to the house on a couple of occasions to run through things with me. It was a big job that involved relocating several of the downstairs radiators with a solid concrete floor so it was important to find the right people to carry out the work. It’s now several days since the job was completed and I am incredibly impressed with the work that they carried out. There were three guys on site every day, James, Ashley and Alex and they worked incredibly hard to get the job done on time. Then finally before finishing up they talked me through the new boiler and heating controls and ensured the house was clean and tidy before leaving. A first class job.

We had an emergency situation as we had no hot water or central heating and called First Call who we have a boiler servicing contract with. James came out later the same morning, resolved the problem with the hot water and restarted the boiler. All problems resolved by lunchtime. Excellent service!

I originally phoned another company and was told that I needed a new part for the boiler. The company promised to phone with a price but after five days I was still waiting. I phoned First Call Heating in the morning, my boiler was sorted by 5pm the same day and no new parts were needed. I have the utmost confidence in the integrity and workmanship of the company and will now continue to use it in the future. I am a very delighted new customer!

Having found the boiler leaking 3 days after Christmas, couldn't believe how quickly, efficiently and cost effectively the work was done. I would go as far as to say Jez provided the best service that we've ever had. Turned up the same day as promised, was friendly, keen to help, did the work really efficiently and charged less that we thought we would be. Can't say better than that! Ordered a new boiler and expected it to be fitted on a Tuesday but having carried out a gas supply test the day before we were told we did not actually need a new boiler. First call recommended and then carried out work that resulted in a charge 95% less than a boiler would have cost - extremely pleased (of course) and impressed that an honest, courteous and friendly company dealt with a material issue for us. At all times First Call Heating people kept us informed what was happening (the office even called to say the engineer would be 20 minutes late for an appointment). Fantastic customer service - on a personal note. Thank you Jez!

I called First Call Heating Ltd first thing in the morning and they came the same day. After work so that I didn't have to take time off specially. They resolved the problem quickly and had the part needed in their van. As we have a service contract with them, there was no charge. We have used First Call for a number of years to install and repair our boilers and we have always been very pleased with their obvious expert knowledge of gas central heating and how quickly they respond to problems that have arisen.

Engineer (actually the boss!) came out Saturday morning due to alarm having gone off previous evening. Rang at 9am as unable to use boiler so no hot water or heating. Everything was thoroughly checked turned out to be just a faulty alarm but we were grateful for the reassurance provided by first call coming out at the drop of a hat. Would recommend this company to anyone. They are friendly, helpful and offer a great service.

I explained the problem to James Walker and his said that he could come round first thing Monday morning. James then phoned back with some advice so that the leak was temporarily stopped. What we thought would be a hideous nightmare of a job turned out to be a moderate inconvenience due to the thoroughly professional attitude of First Call Heating. First contact was with Jez who provided the quotation and arranged the works. The heating engineer, George, arrived as scheduled and carried out the works in a timely fashion, leaving the property in tidy and clean order at the end of every day. Having never heard of them before, spoke to the company at the Swan Centre in Eastleigh. Their special offer was a replacement boiler, fully fitted and guaranteed for 7 years, for £2012. Having had quotes from several other people, sounded too good to be true – WorcesterBosch boiler and all. But they turned up when they said they would, sent 2 very competent and pleasant guys to do the work (Callum and Ben) who were consummately professional and focused on their work. At the end of the day, there was a problem. Callum and Ben got their boss to come and assist, in turn getting support from the manufacturer and then Transco. Long story short, potentially very unhappy customer turned into very impressed customer (and I take some pleasing). System works fine (or, appears to - but no reason to suspect that might change anytime soon; and in any event, it comes with the 7 year guarantee!). Callum’s boss (Jez) said he wouldn’t go until we were entirely happy. He was good to his word and left us with a brand new boiler, professionally fitted and commissioned into use. Callum and Ben were excellent. If you are looking for a good deal and value for money, stop looking; it’s here.

I had accidentally damaged the central heating pipework under the floor over a weekend. Water leakage became visible on Monday morning. Telephoned First Call at 9.00am - their engineer arrived at 9.30am - the damage was repaired and the system recommissioned by 11.45am. Once again - a speedy efficient service.

These guys have certainly restored my faith in plumbers. Quote received same day, work scheduled 4 days later (2 day job) so pleasantly surprised with timecsales. Returned from holiday to an unwelcomed cold shower. I phoned in the afternoon and they were over before the evening. No work needed to be done, a simple problem to fix.However because it was our error regarding the hot water tank they didnt charge anything! I was very surprised and grateful for this act of good will. Would highly recommend this company!

James was recommended to me by a colleague and I would definitely recommend him to others. He came to our house within 1 hour of calling him, on a Thursday evening, and instantly diagnosed the problem (another non-worcester plumber had already been and spent 3 hours with the boiler with no success). He was able to locate the part we needed without any difficulty (it was a worcester part) and fitted it extremely quickly the next day and for a very reasonable price.

I had the new Worcester 36LXi boiler fitted as it is so small it fitted perfectly into my compact kitchen. It works superbly, is extremely efficient and almost silent, unlike my old boiler. It has made a big difference to my central heating and hot water, especially considering the cold spell that we are currently having. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend First Call based on the job that they have done.

We have highly recommended James and his team to anyone we know. We opted to wait for the new Worcester Bosch Greenstar 36 LXI which were new on to the market and were delighted at the speed of the installation. First call heating were even prepared to dig into the concrete floor (& repair perfectly afterwards) in the kitchen to find the gas pipe rather than running a whole new pipe around the house as many competitors quoted for. We were amazed by the sheer attention to detail the team had, ensuring pipes were straight and that the whole area was cleaned up afterwards. The commitment and dedicated service we received was amazing and we now just wonder why we left it so long to change systems!! Thank you James, Jez, Callum, Ben and the others who were involved.

I was very pleased at how the company came out the next day to look at my elderly mums central heating. Even though they could not fix it straight away they came out twice and got it working enough for background heat as it was very cold at the time. System needed flushing through and this has been done today. Very helpful staff and always willing to call round to help sort out problems. I would definitely recommend them.

Having to wait up to a minue and a half for the hot water to appear from the kitchen tap and having showers which did not have the 'wake up effect!', we decided to contact First Call (whom my parents have used for several years and we had used to service our old boiler) to find out how much a new boiler would be. After a lengthly conversation (and a few cups of tea later), we decided on the new Worcester 36LXi, which fitted with my existing kitchen unit and gives a more powerful shower without the pump. My initial reaction was to not go for a combi boiler, however, we have gained additional space in the bedroom as the tank has been removed and my husbands reaction to the shower after the new boiler was fitted was 'wow, it's like being in a hotel'. I can honestly say, I'm really happy with the results and having 7 years free warrenty/service is fantastic. In respect to aftersales, I knew how to bleed the rads but, didn't realise that I'd need to top up the system with water. I noticed the pressure on the boiler was in the red so I called James Walker and he came round the same day, so I now know how to 'top up' the system. I'd Definately recommend the Worcester 36LXi and First Call to anyone looking to upgrade their system. They have been totally professional and only took 2 days to remove/replace and I had hot water after the first day!

The Engineer arrived on time on the appointed day, worked quickly and efficiently and cleared up what little mess he made at the end of the first day and on completion of the work on the second day. After having waited 5 weeks without hot water for another Gas Engineer listed on here, I final decided to try someone else. The Engineer arrived during the morning as I was informed. He was friendly, polite, and knowledgeable, taking just under an hour to find the fault and fix it, a great price too! I asked if the Company he worked for moved radiators and showed the Engineer what else I will need doing and he said yes, I was to ring the office and they would send someone out to quote. He also came up with some other ideas about the moving of the radiator which I had not considered. All in all a great service!

Very impressed with the initial visit by James who gave a detailed description of how the new boiler would be installed and the benefits we would gain. I did not obtain another quotation given we were recommended to First Call Heating, the quotation given by James seemed very reasonable and I was confident we would receive a first class service. We were given a good initial visit from James who explained our options clearly. He came back quickly with a quote and this was adhered to along with the installation date. Jez fitted the system. We were very impressed with his attitude and knowledge. He was punctual and pleasant and worked steadily to fit in with our requirements. He explained what he was doing at each stage and gave a clear, concise description of how to use the new system. The job was well managed, with everything arriving as required including the scaffolding. The house was left tidy on completion.
