Cleared 3 drains and kitchen gully

Dennis is reliable, courteous and honest. He did an excellent job of clearing a drain which was blocked with over 3 feet of waste and ensuring the drainage system was up and running before he left. Works quickly and doesn't 'drag things out' to over-charge. Highly recommended - thank you.

Blocked kitchen sink waste pipe

After moving in to our new property we discovered the kitchen sink pipe had blocked due to the property being empty (1 yr approx.). Dennis and son worked on 3 separate visits to get the pipe cleared, each visit trying different methods (electric eel, kinetic ram and high pressure micro jet) to clear the stubborn fat and grease build-up. If it wasn't for their persistence, it would have meant pulling up laminate flooring to access the pipes direct in the kitchen, i.E. An expensive, time-consuming and messy job. All this and I would also like to highlight the fact that they made efforts to get our job done right before the run-up to Christmas - as we all know a very busy period. I would recommend this family-run and experienced company, many thanks.

To Unshared The Shared Drains of a Semi Detached Property.

The drains at the front of the property (and the one in the middle of a busy road) blocked at least twice a year. Further investigations revealed that the pipes were in good physical condition, but were blocked with fat. I also discovered that there was a single pipe that took the waste water from both properties to the sewer in the middle of the road (two separate waste pipes for each property should have been laid when the properties were constructed). The building inspectors could not understand how this type of installation was given the go ahead. To make matters worse, the property next door is rented and in a poor state of repair; which also extends to the drains. I was extremely fed up of contacting Thames water, and or the owner of next door to get the drains unblocked; only to have to repeat the process when the next lot of tenants moved in. I contacted Flowmasters to see if I could have my own man hole and drain pipes installed on my property; so that I could maintain this myself without having to bother with next door. Flowmasters did a professional job of the installation including organising visits by the building inspectors. I did not do a drain survey when I purchased the property; I would strongly advise potential purchasers to do this type of survey (as it may not included in the standard property search).I don’t think that shared drains are covered by household insurance. It is just as important to know what is going on beneath a property as above it; and I will post another comment later on to let other know how it is all going. I cannot thank Flowmasters enough for their kind and gentle professionalism regarding an annoying and smelly situation. I knew that I had made the right decision when I came across this company and I was right!

Excavation and replacement of broken soil pipe in front driveway

Matt and his co-worker arrived promptly to carry out the repairs in a professional and quality manner. They also refurbished the 'benching' in a few of the inspection chambers to a good quality standard. A few bags of debris which were left at the top of the driveway due to lack of space in the back of their van were collected on the following working day leaving the driveway clean and tidy. I highly recommend Flowmasters to fellow Checkatrade users.
